Ozodi Osuji - Remove paranoia and you see the son of God!

Here is a spiritual-psychological rendition of my yesterday's write up on the correlation of depression and paranoia; may be this perspective may be more understandable to you? Either way, make of it what you like. I do not have to argue with folks. I say something as I see it and leave folks to chew on it; and to, if they may, deny its truth until they are ready to see its truth. In eternity, heaven, unified spirit we are the same and coequal but in time we are at different stages in our spiritual evolution, in our journey back to our real home, God. I happen to be farther on the homewards journey; indeed, I am at the gate of heaven and may enter it at any time I choose to completely relinquish my ego. On the other hand, many persons are still on the journey away from heaven, from unified state; they are still seeking separation, ego, and, therefore, may not understand what I say. My teachings appeal to the world weary that are beginning to realize that we are aliens in this world and have an urge to find out where we came from. Those still fascinated by the promises of the ego, its tinsel world will not find my writing interesting, at this time, anyway; it may take them several life times before they do so. I am a mystic; those still fascinated by the world of flesh cannot understand what I am saying. Cheers, Ozodiobi

PARANOIA IS MASK OVER EXISTENTIAL DEPRESSION
REMOVE IT AND YOU FIND GOD
Think about life and what do you see? You see people living in bodies; bodies are flesh, meat that will die, decay and disappear into other forms of matter, to atoms, and particles and particles to energy (light). That is to say that as bodies we are nothing important; our lives in bodies have no intrinsic worth and value; we are nothing. This is depressing.

Thus, at base we are all existentially depressed; we are depressed from the awareness of our existential nothingness.

Some persons are more aware of human existential depression than others. It seems that the so-called normal person has hidden his awareness of his existential nothing, the nothingness of his body so well that he does not even know that it is there.

As Sigmund Freud observed, what is repressed into the unconscious mind is still there and exercises effect on our behaviors.

Repressed existential depression affects what people do at the conscious level, such as their pursuit of false worth to mask their sense of worthlessness.

All of us decided to cover up our existential depression with the mask of self-importance; and in paranoid persons with paranoid grandiosity (and persecution, jealousy, erotomania, somatoforms).

Paranoia is found in sensitive human beings who are acutely aware of their existential nothingness. In childhood when the body they chose to live in gave them so much pain and trouble they recognized that body is nothing. But instead of accepting that existential nothingness they decided to mask it with mentally constructed sense of worth, paranoid grandiosity. Having identified with non-existent worth, that worth feels persecuted by other people. That false worth also feels persecuted by our real self (the Christ self). The ego feels attacked by other egos and by the individual's real self, Christ, hence feels always in a battle field defending itself.

UNDERNEATH THE MASK OF EGO FALSE WORTH IS NOT DEPRESSION BUT REAL WORTH

If the paranoid person lets go of his sense of power and worth that he gave to himself he thinks that he would become depressed and commit suicide, for he would confront nothingness, a nothingness that he does not want to be.

Actually, what happens when the self-conferred important self is given up is the awareness of the real self; the son of God that is as God created him. When we let go of our ego grandiosity instead of finding nothingness and depression we find the grandeur given to us by God.

Stop defending the false grandiose ego and experience not depression as your ego tells you that you would but the all-important Christ self.

Let go of the defense of false important self and have no worth given to you by yourself and you would experience the son of God that has total glory as a birth right.

Where you had expected to find depression (no worth, oblivion and nothingness) as the paranoid ego told you, if you let go of all self-conferred worth you see the total worth that is your birth right as the son of God; your real self is a part of God and since God is perfect worth your real self has perfect worth.

As long as you try to give yourself a self-conferred worth you have no worth and will not experience the worth given to you by God. This is what A course in miracles teaches and what I know is the truth. How did I come to know that this is the truth? It is from my experience. My personal experiences verify what A course in miracles is teaching.

Right from birth I knew that as a body with an ego I am nothing; I knew that I am worthless if all I am is my body and its sense of I. Why?

My body is temporary; it will die. That which is temporary, I knew has no value. Only the eternal, permanent and changeless has value.

However, instead of accepting the obvious, that body and ego has no value, I did what human beings do, struggle on trying to make my body and ego have value and worth.

Of course I had to fail for no matter what you do your body and ego is worthless and there is nothing that you can do to make it have worth.

A course in miracles says that one must stop trying to make one's body and ego have worth for it is worthless. We try to give our egos worth by pursing a sense of power and worth, grandiosity. In pursuing imaginary worth we convince ourselves that we have worth.

We defend our imaginary worth and if other people do not acknowledge it we feel angry at them. We are always defensive of our imaginary worth.

Defense of the egos imaginary worth make it seem real but without defense we realize that the ego has no worth and, in fact, does not even exist!

Our bodies, egos and the world they represent do not exist, the course said over and over, again. The world is a dream that seems real because it is desired and defended but does not exist.

(By the way, I am not just stating wooly metaphysics here. Hugh Everett's many worlds interpretation of quantum physics shows that there are many universes and that they all exist where our world exist. In time we shall be able to tunnel our ways to other universe through wormholes. At Oxford University David Deutch teaches the physics of multiverses. One of the universes that quantum mechanics predicts is the world of light forms and, ultimately, the root of the infinite universes is the world of pure light, the world of God.)

If you doubt it then go into meditation and tune out the world and see it disappear and see other worlds, such as the world of light forms and, ultimately, the formless light world called heaven. Our world is make belief and is not real and therefore ought to be given up, the course teaches.

Ordinarily, we fear that if we give up the world, give up our attachments to our egos and bodies that we would see nothingness. We fear the depression of nothingness and oblivion.

We are afraid to look inwards because we fear that in doing so we will see the nothingness that is supposed to be there.

The course says that when in fact we look inwards we will not see what we expect to be there, nothingness; we will, instead, see the world of light forms and, ultimately, experience the world of formless light.

Where we had expected to find depression we find joy and grandeur. But to find that glory we must give up the ego, body and world.

We cannot see the three worlds at the same time; it is either we see one or the others. If we see our world we cannot see the world of light forms and cannot see the world of unified light.

Therefore, we must give up our world, the ego and body and its imaginary worth to experience God and his unified light world.

DISCUSSION

A course in miracles is an either or philosophy. What the course teaches my experience taught me is true; thus, at the Center for Mind Science we teach A course in miracles in the language that we understand, science, not poetry.

New age religions appropriated the term mind science, science of mind and spiritual science. In their platform they talk about a world that does not exist (improved ego world) and miracles that do not heal.

The term miracle is used correctly by A course in miracles when it sees it as corrected perception, a perception that overlooks our separated phenomenal world and sees another world; first, the world of light forms and, ultimately, the world of unified light.

In our world love does not exist. Thus, the new age religions teachings that we can find love in this world is false.

Love can only exist in the world of unified light; an attenuated form of love exists in the forgiven world of light forms.

CONCLUSION

Even a cursory appreciation of our bodies shows us that they have no worth. Our bodies are composed of 26 elements, especially carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen and potassium, iron, zinc, calcium, phosphor, magnesium and others. Those are composed of electrons, protons and neutrons. Protons and neutrons are composed of quarks. Quarks were made from light. Electrons are made from light. Thus, at base our bodies are made from light energy.

What is light? It would seem to be nothing (the Big Bang hypothesis of the origin of the universe said that the initial light came from nothingness...actually it came from misused light of God). Thus, we feel that we are made of nothing and, as such, are nothing. This depresses us.

We are afraid to look inside us because we fear that if we look inside we shall see nothingness (oblivion of the self and that is depressing).

But, in fact, when we look inside we see something that is different from what we believed that we would see.

When we let go of the ego and its false worth and look inside us we see the son of God. As part of God the son has perfect grandeur. Our real self has perfect grandeur and power.

The ego only promises us false grandiosity. Look inside and behold the glory of the son of God that he shares with his father.

Obviously, this is not how we approach ourselves but it is how we truly are. Do not argue just let go of your false ego self, ignore its desire for delusional grandiosity.

Come to your God with no self-conferred worth. Come to God with no self that you made, humble or grandiose, come empty handed.

What you will find will literally blow your mind away. When your ego mind is blown away you will see the mind of your real self, the Christ mind.

You will see your present body in light form and, ultimately, you will experience you in formless light.

The formless light self is eternal, permanent and changeless. It is the you as God created you, not the ego in body that seeks grandiose power.

Give up your ego's delusional power and grandiosity and experience the real power and grandeur given to you by your creator, God.

When Igbos give up their pursuit of false ego power they will realize that they are the children of God and as such have alL power and grandeur. This is true for all people for we are all sons of God.

The reason why psychiatry has not healed any paranoid person (or any other mentally ill person) is because it does not tell them that they have another self, the son of God, beneath their sick ego selves.

Spiritual psychology heals because it replaces the false ego self with the real self, the Christ self, the son of God who is as God created him.

The real son of God is in formless light but can be seen in light form; you can see yourself in light form, now, not tomorrow!

Schucman, Helen (1976). A course in miracles. Tiburon, California: Foundation for Inner Peace. This is a 1350 pages book divided into three sections, a text, work book and teachers' manual and supplements, including psychotherapy, songs of prayers and clarification of terms. Dr. Schuman was a professor of clinical Psychology at Columbia University, New York City, USA. She was a Jewish woman. Her book is written in Shakespearean verse hence difficult for most people to understand. You have to be very bright and university educated to understand it. You might say that A course in miracles is today's bible for well-educated folk that used to go to psychoanalysts for psychotherapy.
