Corruption: Return Nigeria’s loot or risk protest, CD warns Britain

The Campaign for Democracy on Friday called on the British Government to return Nigeria’s looted fund in its custody as a means of supporting President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration on corruption.

The group in a statement by its President, Ifeanyi Odili, and Secretary, Abdulahi Jabi, said it agreed with the British Prime Minister, David Cameron, who described Nigeria as a fantastically corrupt nation, but noted that the British government allegedly encouraged corruption in Nigeria.

War Against Terror: UK Stands With Nigeria To Defeat Boko Haram, Says UK International Development Minister

The United Kingdom (UK) says it is supporting Nigeria in the ongoing war against the Boko Haram insurgents.  UK Minister for International Development, Nick Hurd, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in Abuja that UK had a very long cordial relationship with Nigeria.

 “The very long partnership between UK and Nigeria matters a great deal to us; even my Prime Minister has made it very clear that we stand shoulder to shoulder with Nigeria in the battle against Boko Haram.

“We understand how many thousands and millions of peoples’ lives have been devastated by the atrocities in the North East.

Osun Delegates Join Other Stakeholders In London To Brainstorm On Britain’s Implementation Of School Food Plan

As the British Government plans to review the present school food standard in the schools and introduce universal free meals from September 2014. Educationists, Food technologists and Nutritionists are brain storming in London on the implementation of the scheme.
