They are fiercely loyal to causes they believe in, but they will demand accountability and quick result. They can get very impatient with mediocrity and can bring down what they built for one year in one minute if they perceived injustice.

Fidel Castro, the fiery apostle of revolution who brought the Cold War to the Western Hemisphere in 1959 and then defied the United States for nearly half a century as Cuba’s maximum leader, bedeviling 11 American presidents and setting Cuban people free from Neo-colonial and imperial dominion of the Amenrican power, died Friday. He was 90.

His death was announced by Cuban state television.

Security operatives have reportedly intercepted Hon. Victor Olabimtan, the DG of APC Campaign Organization along Akungba-Akoko road with 15 Ghana must go bags filled up with APC thumb-printed ballot papers.


The Ondo state former Speaker of the House of Assembly, and now the Director General of Akeredolu Campaign Organisation and one of the 24 aspirants, who battled for the governorship ticket at the keenly contested APC primary election, held on September 3, 2016 in Akure was arrested in Akoko land today.

Re-run election in Rivers State: INEC denies wild allegations

The general public is here advised to disregard an unsubstantiated allegation made by the Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike and which appeared in some newspapers today, that INEC has "handed over original copies of result sheets (of the Dec 10 Re-run election in Rivers State) to Minister of Transport, Mr Rotimi Ameachi."
The Commission hereby affirms that the allegation is baseless and totally untrue. The Commission also wishes to assures Nigerians that it will continue to discharge its duties according to the rules governing its mandate, without fear or favour and with a very high sense of responsibility.

BREAKING: INEC Postpone Ondo Governorship Election

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has reportedly postponed the Ondo state Governorship Election slated for Sarturday 26th November 2016.

If this postponment is comfirmed to be true, then it negate the earlier INEC satement that Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has no plan to postpone the conduct of the Ondo governorship election scheduled for Saturday, 26th November 2016.

SP Saraki Seeks Media Partnership to End Economic Recession

Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki on Wednesday urged the media to collaborate with the upper chamber in its efforts aimed at pulling the nation's economy out of recession.

Saraki, according to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Sanni Onogu, in Abuja, while presenting a keynote address at the 2016 Awards/Dinner for Senators and Journalists covering the Senate, organized by the Senate Press Corps.

While commending the awardees and organizers of the event, he urged the media to always ensure truth and objectivity in their reportage of events so as to adequately inform and educate the people about the activities of the parliament.

The Senate President stated that the 8th Senate has put adequate processes in place not only to ensure that the 2017 budget is passed in record time but to see a product and quality that Nigerians can be proud of.
