Nigeria’s Looming Power Battle in Reformed-PDP aka APC– By Dr. Peregrino Brimah

Diagnosed with prostatic cancer several years ago as leaked medical reports from the ABU teaching hospital in Nigeria reveal, Buhari is suffering complications of that diagnoses with “multiple organs affected” as well as other chronic ailments including Crohn’s intestinal disease as revealed in media reports.
Fatai Diekola: When the blackmailer misses his mark. By Tunji Awojide
"The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways."
- Deuteronomy 28:7
I would have refrained from joining issues with Fatai Diekola Oyedele for three main reasons. First, his tirades, as far as yours sincerely is concerned, are a non-issue. So, responding in kind can only be likened to killing an ant with a sledge hammer. Secondly, even in the political configuration of Osogbo, FD, as he is fondly called, is a lightweight. For this reason, dissipating energy and time on such a petty politician is like according him an undue attention. Thirdly, and most importantly, the real succession battle has not even started. What we are currently being treated to are mere scratches. When the real battle eventually commences, I have no doubt in my mind that Rauf Aregbesola's achievements in office as Osun State governor, including those lives he has positively impacted, are capable of taking the battle to the doorsteps of his enemies.

KWARA YOUTHS AND THE CHALLENGES OF THE FUTURE, SEASON 2
Good evening our dearly esteemed compatriots!
We are going to again continue on this topic, as we wish to via it continue awaken the spirits of the Youths of Kwara State. Youths who have being reduced to ordinary garage touts, politically naive simpletons and bag carriers. We believe that certain Kwara Youths are better qualified to run the affairs of this State better than the bunch of the half baked individuals we are seeing on parade holding offices and portfolios of which they are not contributing anything meaningful towards the the progress of Kwara State and comfort of its citizenry. Simply look at the boards appointment made! How many technocrats and sharp brains were selected as members of the board? They have simply turned State Institutions to become instruments of giving political settlement to their political cronies and luciferous supporters who have nothing upstairs! If not, how will any sensible government appoint an illiterate as Commissioner for Education and stark illiterate as a member of the board of an Academic Institution?

Prebendalism: Why Buhari Is Not Fighting Corruption and Why He Can Not Fight Corruption
![]() |
| President Buhari |
Let me explain to you why Buhari is not fighting corruption and why he cannot fight corruption.
First, if we are to judge an administration as fighting corruption based on how much EFCC recovered under the administration, then Buhari administration has not done anything special.
Before Buhari came into power in 2015, the EFCC had recovered over $12billion in the name of 'fighting corruption'.

Ali Modu Sheriff Sets to Restructure PDP, Promises to Send Wike, Fayose and Other Godless Politicians Away
Following his factional victory at the Court of Appeal sitting in Port Harcourt today, the aclaimed authentic PDP Chairman, Ali Modu Sheriff in reacting to the favourable judgement said he will engineer a restructuring of the PDP such that characters like Wike and Fayose cannot find a way through to attain any position of prominence in the party in the future.
The Former Governor of Borno state said the likes of Governor Wike of Rivers state and Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State have brought shame and agony through the application of their crude and godless politics which is at variance with the principles upon which our founding fathers built our great party.

DEAD OR ALIVE: BUHARI CORRECTS PDP IMPUNITY, NO VACANCY IN ASO-ROCK
Late PRESIDENT MUSA YARADUA Left for treatment in Saudi Arabia refuse to hand over to his then deputy which left that seat Vacant because he never came back alive. Senate had to ractify it before we had an acting president.
SULIVAN CHIME, the past Enugu State Governor left the shores of this country for cancer treatment never handed over to his deputy, PDP never blinked an eye over that atrocity. We all knew how activities in that state was grounded the Deputy was not allowed to sign any document.

APC-Buhari regime: Social consciousness is building at feverish level
The diversion of the whole discourse to herdman-farmer, Christian-Muslim and North-South dichotomies favours the ruling class and their dying regime, as it distracts attention from the regime’s inability to deliver on its promise of change; same inability- like those of the previous regimes-that is at the root of these sectarian crises.

| President Buhari |
Many who defended the regime and "laughed at us" when we protested fuel price increase last May are today more militant and physical (than us) in denouncing the packaged deceit which APC-Buhari regime truly is. Most of them are already disillusioned. They could not imagine that under the regime of "change", it would require about N145,000.00 daily to clear sewage in Aso Rock. They seem scandalised by how expensive Buhari's sh*t has now become! Or how else does one defend allocation of billions of Naira to Aso Rock clinic annually (an allocation higher than those of teaching hospitals) and the president jets out at the slightest opportunity to London hospitals? In short, on daily basis, more and more people are realising there is no FUNDAMENTAL difference between APC and the ousted, and terminally ill PDP.

THOSE WHO HAVE EARS LET THEM HEAR! BY JAYE GASKIA
There are several categories of opinions rampant among Nigerians, and particularly finding expression on the internet and social media with respect to attitude to the current government, two or three of which categories actually stinks and can be annoying were they not tragic.
There is a category of people who are simply opposed to this government because they remain supporters of the last government and ex-ruling party that was voted out and rejected at the last general elections.

And You Call Them Innocent: Again, Metuh Offers to Refund N400 Million
So The reports says the immediate past spokesperson of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, has again offered to refund to the Nigerian government, the N400 million he received from the office of the National Security Adviser in the build up to the 2015 general election.
Mr. Metuh, who is facing trial at the Federal High, had said he did not know that the money given to him by the ONSA, when Sambo Dasuki was NSA, was meant for arms procurement. He said former President Goodluck Jonathan gave him an assignment and ordered for the release of the funds to him.
And do we now called them (all Looters) innocent? Yeah, right! Metuh innocently stole N400 Million that belongs to about 175 million Nigerian, because there was free money flying around Nigeria and now he is innocently returning the N400 Million he stole. In Stan's world, all you need to do is innocently steal some money in Nigeria and you can innocently return the money until you're proven guilty.

THE LIMIT OF MR. AYO FAYOSE'S IMMUNITY By Femi Falana
The highly respected Falana has this to say. I respect his views though but history is sacrosanct and cannot be rewritten. It is easy to cite judgements which favours a particular interest but difficult at times to stand by the truth and conscience particularly when Naira and kobo is involved. The media is also complicit against Gani Fawehinmi when he was in court against the interests who now appear to be favoured by the judgement he got against immunity from investigation. I stood by Gani Fawehinmi then. This is story and not history because I was actively involved.. I wasnt told! The truth is like oil, no matter how much water you pour on it, it will always float!

FROM CHANGE TO CHAIN: THE ONGOING METAMORPHOSIS OF A POPULIST REGIME. BY JAYE GASKIA
[This piece was written originally for publication by Pan African Visions – US based online Magazine with a Pan African Focus]
This is the month of the first anniversary of the inauguration of the PMB populist regime and of the formal ascension to power of the self-proclaimed ‘New Governing Party’ – the APC. And I am not trying to be cheeky here, just coming from a bruising encounter with the populist regime as it tries to consolidate its hold on power.
How many of us still remember the heady days of exuberant triumphalism occasioned by the declaration of the then APC Presidential candidate as the president elect? How many of us remember the atmosphere of incredulous anticipation and of mass hysteria on the streets in general, and around the APC National Headquarters in particular?
It was while enveloped in the surreal ambience of a longed for and hard fought victory that the then main opposition party addressed the world press promising as an evidence of the change that was promised that it was going to be ‘a governing’, and not ‘a ruling party’! So as you can see, I am not being cheeky at all.
