APC-Buhari regime: Social consciousness is building at feverish level

The diversion of the whole discourse to herdman-farmer, Christian-Muslim and North-South dichotomies favours the ruling class and their dying regime, as it distracts attention from the regime’s inability to deliver on its promise of change; same inability- like those of the previous regimes-that is at the root of these sectarian crises.
President Buhari
Cloud is gathering, and people are closing in on the regime. Ferments everywhere: students gradually regaining their lost strength, albeit on individual-campus basis and in spite of the sorry state of their once virile national organization (NANS); workers remained unbowed despite the deafening silence from Wabba-led NLC and other trade union centres; and the middle class are becoming more and more impatient (Tuface's recent call for protest is very instructive).

Many who defended the regime and "laughed at us" when we protested fuel price increase last May are today more militant and physical (than us) in denouncing the packaged deceit which APC-Buhari regime truly is. Most of them are already disillusioned. They could not imagine that under the regime of "change", it would require about N145,000.00 daily to clear sewage in Aso Rock. They seem scandalised by how expensive Buhari's sh*t has now become! Or how else does one defend allocation of billions of Naira to Aso Rock clinic annually (an allocation higher than those of teaching hospitals) and the president jets out at the slightest opportunity to London hospitals? In short, on daily basis, more and more people are realising there is no FUNDAMENTAL difference between APC and the ousted, and terminally ill PDP.

Scammers: Everywhere You Go! -

He had always wanted to start farming. Encouraged by my foray into farming, this junior friend of mine bought a small acreage somewhere in the tropical rain-forest of the Southwest. He wanted to start small and build his holding. He was busy looking for money to start as a way of gaining financial independence and prepare for his later years.

About three weeks ago, he called me that some folks came from Moor Plantation in Ibadan to market improved seeds for them. I ask to see the seeds and I was even interested because I wanted to start investing in cash crops. Among the seeds he he brought to me was Apple. Apple? In Southern Nigeria? Maybe they know something I don't know. When it comes to Agriculture, I know a lot! Especially tropical plants. I grew up farming. We made our own Gari, Cassava flour, palm oil, locust beans and grow our own yams. The only thing we ate that we did not grow were rice and beans. The seeds include oil palm, plantain, cocoa and all sorts. I looked at the handout he brought as my copy and the price list. I recall making the observation that oil palm seeds are kernels but generally I did not delve deeper. Since they were going to have a seminar for buyers I can ask the questions later. I was particularly interested in their clearing rates. I spent millions clearing my farms, I couldn't imagine someone offering such ridiculous rates.
