The Former Governor of Borno state said the likes of Governor Wike of Rivers state and Ayodele Fayose of Ekiti State have brought shame and agony through the application of their crude and godless politics which is at variance with the principles upon which our founding fathers built our great party.
Sheriff said "I will engineer a restructuring of the PDP such that characters like Wike and Fayose cannot find a way through to attain any position of prominence in our party in the future."

Senator Modu Sheriff made the statement after the Court of Appeal affirmed him as the authentic Chairman of PDP.
Hamed Makafi led faction of the party has also vow to appeal the judgement! The Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani Kayode in reaction to the rulling of the Court of Appeal said the victory for Sheriff led PDP is a victory for APC and Buhari led administration.
