Those small boys of yester years, are now fathers having children they are catering for! The reality is, if we do not make adequate use of the available time at our disposal, time will invariably make use of us by taking away our youthfulness, strength, beauty and sharpness! Just like that Hymn that Christian fellows usually sing at Church. "Fading away like the stars in the morning". Time makes us to fade away! The youths by which implies those of us born between 1970 to 1999, we have never had the opportunity that those ahead of us had! The Nationalist by which we are referring to the likes of Dr. Nnamdi Azikiwe, Sir Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Chief Jeremiah Obafemi Awolowo, Alhaji Ahmadu Bello, Dr. Akanu Ibiam, Chief Anthony Enahoro and the likes, were leaders who wanted the very best for the children coming after them. This fact was reflected in the kind of policies they made and projects they implemented.
They weren't sold tothe idea of amassing wealth or property for themselves and families. How many of their children did we hear of then, living as large as the sons and daughters of frontline politicians of now adays? Their children attended schools side by side with the children of the perceived ordinary Nigerians. They were not treated with much better preference than other. It was until the 70's when these current set of leaders took over government, precisely under Shehu Shagari Presidency that corruption by the political class became a common face event.
Many of the old NPN guys embezzled money and kept them in obscure locations,until Buhari/Idiagbon regime came on board and changed the currency, rendering most the money looted valueless, as majority of them were incarcerated, while the ploy was being arranged. Only those who had people on the outside detention whom they told about their stash, were able to survive the clandestine plot of the then Military Administration. This is simply not what we are aiming at. The issue we are reflecting on is, none of you guys born between 1970 to 1999 have actually enjoyed a good life! The current set of leadership has no plans for you, nor do they give a damn about your children and those after them.
Their immediate concern is how they will steal enough money to send their children abroad and how they will continue to sustaining expensive life style with our collective wealth. Infact, most of their children are now already possess residence permits of far Developed Countries. They intend to keep those ones out of harms way to focus on their education, while their fathers are destroying educational institutions owned by Federal and State Governments of Nigerian Federation, in order to make their certificates worthless and unemployable. Their motive is to create a safe landing for their wards who were trained abroad. How can you understand the mindset of a Governor like Isiaka Ajimobi of Oyo State. Who allowed Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) to remain closed for 8 months? What do you believe is the motive of Ogbeni Rauf Adesoji Aregbesola, The Executive Governor of Osun State, in co-operating in the closure of LAUTECH for 8 months? It isn't political! They are just trying to destroy the educational institution because the children of the perceived ordinary citizens of Nigeria are attending the school.
They are trying to limit and wither away the challenges their own children will face in the future. Which is why they are hell bent on sustaining their foolish differences, just to ensure that academic activities are grinded to halt. Why do you think that they increased the school fees? Is it not to make it difficult for you guys to proceed with your education? Why do you think they are siphoning our common wealth? It is not ensure that only them and their families has a access to a good life, and which invariably will aid them in dominating others perpetually!
In FRANCE, revolution occurred due to the perceived high handedness of the monarchs and bourgeoisies. In RUSSIA, revolution took place for the same reason. In IRAN, the Islamic revolt succeeded because the Tshah's reign was oppressive, suppressive, evil and denigrating. If you observe our state closely, you will see that the current political leadership in Kwara State has done worse than the bourgeoisies of FRANCE, the emperors/monarchs of RUSSIA and the Tshahs of IRAN all combined together. YET, WE KEPT SILENT! WHY? The fact is simple! We have come to a point whereby we believe freedom or emancipation comes free! Let us tell you this; FREEDOM IS NEVER FREE! FREEDOM IS VERY COSTLY! Before SOUTH AFRICA could experience freedom from apartheid rule, Late Dr. Nelson Mandela led the Nationalist Movement! The cost off this was, he was locked up in prison for Treason for 27 years! Many young people; students including elementary (primary) and middle school (secondary) were gunned down by the South African white dominated security forces.
For ZIMBABWE to be free, Mr. Robert Mugabe had to become a fugitive and an insurgent to wrestle power from the colonialist. This is why inspite of the fact that he is now old and messing up, the people of Zimbabwe are yet sticking with him.
In KWARA STATE, we have decided to sit on the fence expecting a MESSIAH to come. A messiah who Kwarans usually betray and abandon when the ruling dynasty in the state offers them little chicken change. Late Rear Admiral Mohammed Alabi Lawal of blessed memory was one of such men betrayed. Yes, he had his own faults! Yes, he insulted the civil servants and pensioners! But, has the current political leadership in Kwara State not done much worse?
Do you know how many people died in 2016 alone; not out of disease but hunger, frustration and deprivation occasioned by the indifference and high handedness of the current Kwara State Governor, Abdulfatah Ahmed! Yoruba people do say "ENI TOKAN LOMO". It is those who are affected that can tell how grievously Kwara State is groaning.
KWARA YOUTHS, your future awaits you! A future that has been mortgaged to Banks, Chinese and Bonds by both ABUBAKAR BUKOLA SARAKI and ABDULFATAH FUNSHO AHMED! Many of the big Kwara State Government Buildings have being used as Collateral for loans! Buildings that were constructed by previous Governors, mostly military men who weren't even citizens of our State. Bukola Saraki and Abdulfatah Ahmed have conspired against our future, implementing policies that is messing us up!
JUST IMAGINE! Even with public outcry by many Kwarans, Maigida still go ahead with the project of Geri Alimi Bridge, mainly to siphon our common wealth! If not because so many people cried out, Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed wanted to spend money in constructing street lights when people are owed several months salaries. These people don't give a damn whether you eat your three square meals a day,
THEY DON'T CARE! For all they care, you can just drop dead in your tracks. We are now aware and foresee that they are beginning to re-strategies for 2019, and that begins with aiming at placing their pawn into position of Local Council Chairmen, as the local council election is now forthcoming. The Federal Government of Nigeria has made it abundantly clear to all States of the Federation that unless they conduct local government elections, they will not include the funds for the local councils as part of the allocation to be sent to States. This reality has now placed undue pressure upon them to conduct local governments elections.
YOUTHS OF KWARA STATE, in our previous release, we made a very important assertion that 2019 is the year that will determine if the current set of youths between ages 18 to 47 years will acertain if they have a bright future or NOT! THE ONLY WAY INTO YOUR HAVING A FUTURE IS, IF YOU CAN EFFECT A PARADIGM SHIFT IN THE GOVERNANCE OF KWARA STATE! THE ONLY WAY YOU CAN HAVE A FUTURE IS, IF YOU CAN PUT IN PLACE IN PLACE A VIABLE STRUCTURE TO LAY ITS CLAIM, STARTING FROM THIS YEAR'S LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS, A GOVERNMENT THAT IS NOT SUBSERVIENT TO THE CURRENT POLITICAL LEADERSHIP IN KWARA STATE.
A leadership that will ask a Council Chairman to sign a cheque of 250 million and only remit 20 million naira! A Government so deceitful in its operations that it will SACK or REMOVE in the most clandestine manner any Council Chairman who isn't going to co-operate with them. History will never forget how Alhaji Tajudeen Folaranmi Aro was fraudulently booted out of office as Executive Chairman of Offa Local Government Area, because he refused betrayed his conscience, as history will likewise not forget that of Ahmed Ajimoti in Oyun Local Government Area.
History will never forgive SENATOR ABUBAKAR BUKOLA SARAKI and GOVERNOR ABDULFATAH AHMED for the mayhem they perpetrated between Offa and Erin-Ile for political motive! When Saheed Popoola Popoola was willingly elected by Offa people as their Executive Chairman, under the defunct ACN, Bukola Saraki and Abdulfatah Ahmed precipitated a conflict between Erin-Ile and Offa, bringing in hire mercenaries to cause mayhem just because they don't want to loss total control!

Hmmnnn!!! Experience our foot! As experienced as they are claiming to be, how did they manage to run our state aground, to the extent that we now have to be taking bonds to pay salaries? How have they being running Kwara State, which has now resulted to them owing multiple months salaries, until paris club refund bailed them out a litlle. what have they done to justify their experience? There is no quarrel, we are only thanking them for how far they have brought backwardness to our State amonsgt the twelve first created States in Nigeria.It is isn't a fight, we are simply shower accolades on them for the set back they have insigated against our State in the Committee of States in the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
