PASTOR E. A ADEBOYE'S RETIRMENT: WHO WANTS TO WEAKEN THE CHURCH IN NIGERIA?

''THEN YOU WILL KNOW THE TRUTH, AND THE TRUTH SHALL SET YOU FREE - JOHN 8:32

1. Financial Reporting Council (FRC) of Nigeria was established by the PDP Administration of President Goodluck Jonathan in 2011

(1. Luke 8:17 - For nothing is hidden that will not be made manifest, nor is anything secret that will not be known and come to light.)

2. The Report of the Council was relied upon by President Jonathan to suspend Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the Governor of Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) on Feb. 20th 2014. Wailers PDP, Femi Fani-Kayode and Ayodele Fayose never saw anything wrong with that.

RE: The Dubai Landlord : We need hardcore evidence against Gen Buratai

The termination of the corrupt regime of President Goodluck Jonathan by the Nigerian electorate and the installation of opposition candidate Muhammadu Buhari created opportunity for the interrogation of the artificial paradox of a continental military superpower, with an unrivaled record of successful peacekeeping across Africa , fighting a losing territorial war with homegrown insurgents.
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission has been investigating the military industrial complex that denied Nigerian troops war supplies and made billions of naira at the expense of 20,000 Nigerian lives and 3 million refugees.

The probe revealed that a syndicate of senior military officers who were responsible for procuring ammo for the prosecution of the war against terror in the North East betrayed their country and their colleagues at the war front. They awarded fake contracts to themselves and their cronies, under-supplied in the few instances where they bothered to deliver at all, and fattened their pockets. This resulted in a situation where Nigerian soldiers were compelled to face one of the deadliest terrorist groups in the world empty-handed. That ironical, uneven match between the government force and the guerrilla fighters favored the better-equipped underdog. Thus, the terrorists decimated and maimed hundreds of our troops. They sacked villages, took women and girls into sex slavery, and hoisted their flags. They declared, at some point, 20,000 square miles of Nigerian soil, a space the size of Belgium, their jihadist caliphate.

And You Call Them Innocent: Again, Metuh Offers to Refund N400 Million

So The reports says the immediate past spokesperson of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Olisa Metuh, has again offered to refund to the Nigerian government, the N400 million he received from the office of the National Security Adviser in the build up to the 2015 general election.

Mr. Metuh, who is facing trial at the Federal High, had said he did not know that the money given to him by the ONSA, when Sambo Dasuki was NSA, was meant for arms procurement. He said former President Goodluck Jonathan gave him an assignment and ordered for the release of the funds to him.

And do we now called them (all Looters) innocent? Yeah, right! Metuh innocently stole N400 Million that belongs to about 175 million Nigerian, because there was free money flying around Nigeria and now he is innocently returning the N400 Million he stole. In Stan's world, all you need to do is innocently steal some money in Nigeria and you can innocently return the money until you're proven guilty.

COUNT PRESIDENT BUHARI OUT OF N'ASSEMBLY CRISIS - Adesina

Since the appointment of Femi Adesina as Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, he has applied himself to the job, making frantic efforts to defend the administrative policies of President Muhammadu Buhari’s government. In this exclusive interview with Independent correspondent in the Aso Villa, INNOCENT OWEH, he dismissed allegations by the national assembly leadership that the Presidency was behind its many travails. He also spoke on why the immediate past administration of President Goodluck Jonathan abandoned several Memorandum of Understandings (MOUs) signed with foreign allies, which could have translated to more development for the country.

With the gloomy economy, workers are becoming tensed, and recently staff of the Federal Ministry of Finance protested over poor welfare issues, are you aware of their grievances?

I read the explanation from the finance ministry that what they are agitating for had been stopped by the previous government, that explains it. If there would be further explanations, I think its the ministry of finance that would do it, but I think what they have said satisfies me, it suffices for now

Tell me if I should change ministers - President Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari said yesterday that Nigerians should pass a verdict on the performance of his appointed officials during the administration’s first year in office so that he will know if he should change them. Asked if Nigerians should expect changes in his team during this anniversary period Buhari said, “I am waiting for the newspapers to tell me the performance of my ministers and whether I should make changes.”

President Buhari explained why his government took off rather slowly. He said former President Obasanjo, who had experience with hand over and take over, recalled that in 1999 outgoing Head of State General Abdulsalami Abubakar made each ministry to prepare handing over notes and then brief the president-elect, for him to choose what he wanted out of it.

Transcorruption Agenda: SERAP calls on UK govt. to extradite Diezani Alison-Madueke over corruption allegations

Ahead of the International Anticorruption Summit in the UK this week, a civil society group Socio-Economic Rights and Accountability Project (SERAP) has called on the UK authorities to “extradite Nigeria’s former petroleum minister Mrs Diezani Alison-Madueke to face charges of corruption and money laundering, as the charges she is currently facing in UK court do not sufficiently capture the gravity of her alleged crimes, and the increasing allegations of corruption against her in Nigeria.”

The request followed announcement this week by the Central Bank of Nigeria that it was carrying out special investigations into the roles played by banks in certain financial transactions, especially the N23bn reportedly shared to officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission by officials of the former President Goodluck Jonathan administration to influence the outcome of the last general elections.

Obasanjo Writes off Buhari on Economy, Diplomacy

Only Time will tell!  Former President Olusegun Obasanjo Monday said Nigeria would have made remarkable progress if his successors had continued with the policies and programmes of his administration.

He declared that while the late former President Umaru Yar’Adua reversed some of his policies, the succeeding administration of ex-President Goodluck Jonathan also slipped into massive corruption, which his (Obasanjo) regime fought to a standstill.

He also said though President Muhammadu Buhari may not be actively knowledgeable about economy and foreign affairs matters, he believed in the current leader’s fight against graft and insecurity.

PENDULUM: A Candid Response from the Senate President Bukola Saraki

My dear brother Dele, let me thank you most sincerely for your article last weekend, “My Candid Letter to Saraki.” I take everything you said in that article to heart and I must commend you for your candidness indeed and the sincerity of your intentions.

As you said in your article, you are someone I have known more by reputation than by any personal relationship, until recently when we struck up some personal acquaintance based on our shared political interests, especially during the last presidential election. However, I understand why you had to sound so defensive for knowing me at all and had to publicly map the boundaries of our relationship. We have got to that point in our country when we no longer believe that anyone could stand for anything based on principles and convictions alone. Moreover, in the growing culture of media crucifixion and presumed guilt; it is rare to find a voice like yours that calls for fairness and justice.

I would have simply sent you a text message or call you up for your candid advice to me, which I take seriously. But I feel the need to make some clarifications on some of the issues you raised. One of them was that in seeking to be Senate President, I struck a deal with the PDP and made it possible for one of them to be the Deputy Senate President. I know this is the dominant narrative out there, but it is far from the truth.

Stealing In Their Blood: Court Remands Jonathan's Cousin In EFCC Custody

Chief magistrate B.O Osunsanmi of a Lagos Magistrate Court sitting in Ikeja on Friday ordered that Robert Azibaola, a cousin of former President Goodluck Jonathan be remanded in the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) custody.

The EFCC on Friday brought an application before the court, seeking the defendant’s detention over alleged diversion of $40 million meant for securing of oil pipelines.

Azibaola will remain in custody pending the completion of EFCC investigations into how the funds allegedly paid to him through One-Plus Holdings, a sister company of Kakatar Construction Limited, was used.

#DansukiGate: Truth of PDP presidential campaign funds; Fani-Kayode Speaks out as EFCC Freeze His Bank Accounts

 Fani-Kayode
”The truth is like a lion. You don’t have to defend it. Let it lose and it will defend itself”- St. Augustine.

For the last few weeks I have been the subject of absurd and outlandish headline stories in various newspapers who have accused me of being a fraudster and who have claimed that funds were transferred into my bank account by the former National Security Advisor, Col. Sambo Dasuki and by the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria.

They have also claimed that I used public funds for the Presidential campaign of President Goodluck Jonathan.

The attempt to tarnish my name, paint me as a common criminal and convict me of wrongdoing in the court of public opinion without even hearing my side of the story is petty, shameful and nauseating.

It is also a reflection of the desperation of those that seek to pull me down and destroy me simply because my opposition to this government has been unrelenting.

In January 2015 I was appointed as the Director of Media and Publicity for the Jonathan/Sambo Presidential Campaign Organisation by President Goodluck Jonathan.

I don’t need your praise, Tinubu tells Kashamu

The national leader of the All Progressives Congress, Asiwaju Bola Tinubu, has rejected the praises showered on him by Ogun-East senator-elect, Buruji Kashamu.

Kashamu, who is the Chairman of the Organisation and Mobilisation Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party in the South-West, had last week, described Tinubu as his role model and the architect of modern Nigeria.

However, Tinubu, in a statement by his media adviser, Mr. Sunday Dare, described Kashamu as a pretender.

The former governor of Lagos State said there was no basis for comparison between himself and Kashamu, adding that he felt insulted by the open letter addressed to him by Kashamu. “The days of false adulation are gone in Nigerian politics. Fake praise singers like Kashamu will find that their particular craft is no longer in vogue. During this election cycle, their practice has dramatically turned from the way things are to how things used to be.

Rivers' Governorship Poll: Why Jonathan Sacks IGP Suleiman Abba, Demands Loyalty From All Service Chiefs Till May 29

The Nigerian's Police chief, IGP Suleiman Abba lost his job yesterday, becoming the first major casualty of President Goodluck Jonathan’s electoral loss.

He was immediately replaced by Mr. Solomon Arase.

Abba, who incurred the wrath of the president for allegedly arguing with government officials over the directive to recall the Assistant Inspector-General of Police in Charge of Zone 6, Tunde Ogunshakin, from Rivers State.

"Abba, it was learnt, had deployed Ogunshakin from his base in Calabar to Port Harcourt to oversee the governorship election in Rivers State following complaints by Governor Rotimi Amaechi that the police had collaborated with INEC, and the PDP to intimidate APC members and rig the presidential and National Assembly elections in the state.

Another source said the former police boss reportedly ignored presidency official’s objection to the deployment of Ogunshakin to Rivers State on the allegation that the police officer was sympathetic to Amaechi and his party and would, therefore, not allow the PDP win the state"
