Buhari and The State Of The Nation (I)

I sat with him over a cup of coffee in my house last Monday before I left Nigeria. I started pressuring him to talk to me on phone a month after his appointment. He declined. He was confident my phone must have been tapped long ago. So I waited. That meeting was long overdue because he holds a sensitive position in government and I have always wanted to discuss the state of the nation as I see it from the eyes of the average Nigerian with him. I wanted him to corroborate or refute some information I have. He did corroborate all my priors with the exception of Mallami on Saraki! Here is what I know.

Buhari set out to do 3 major things from onset;

Nigerian Youths Must Form Alternative Party for Nigeria

It's unfortunate that the Youth of these country can not come together and form their own Political party. Like the right wing Alternative for Germany (German: Alternative für Deutschland ) or AfD. Which is doing very well now in Germany. why don't we also have a party call Alternative for Nigeria (AFN)

Anywhere these 1967 set of Nigerians like OBJ and TY Danjuma push us we follow. Same people that destroyed this country are the same people we the youths follow.

STILL ON ANDREW YAKUBU: el-Rufa'i and Buhari are attacking prospective Southern Kaduna candidates for governor

We should not forget that Buhari was indicted in the disappearance of 2.8 million dollars in 1979 when he was the head of NNPC.There was serious corruption in PTF with billions of naira missing. When obasanjo investigated PTF, the consultant, who is buhari's Father inlaw died mysteriously.
Amechi, Fashola, Danbazzua are all indicted in various corruption cases and yet they are free men

This is all political. While not taking sides with wrong. We have to see convictions to be SURE this is not another Buhari wild goose chase!

Go and Address the Problem: We now know how the military conducts its operation

The spokesman said they were informed some Boko Haram leaders were having meeting at Rann so the Airforce were instructed to "go and address the problem" which simply meant go and bomb the area.

Well they killed innocents including members of  NGO who were there to immunize children and they said it was a mistake and soulless Buharists are dismissing this military high handedness as "it was a mistake, everyone makes mistakes".

These are people who criticize the police for accidental discahrge.

Even when it is established that it was by accident, they curse the generation of the police man, but they see no problem with a soldier bombing a civilian population and killing tens of innocents including children.

"NIGERIA MY EARTHLY COUNTRY CHOSEN FOR ME BY GOD"

This is what John Zibiri has to say about Nigeria, a religious societies.

I worked and lived in Abuja for 18 years. I ran my own private company from 2001 until 2014.

Two million of the likes of Buhari cannot change Nigeria.

Everything is wrong with Nigeria. The Director won't give you contract except you pay up front .

The banks won't give you loan except you concede a certain percentage.

POLITICAL LESSON 1- YORUBA PEOPLE

I hope the other regions of Nigeria are beginning to learn some lessons about Yoruba.
Do not be excited when you ride on the support of the Yoruba people to office, especially Presidency.

They are fiercely loyal to causes they believe in, but they will demand accountability and quick result. They can get very impatient with mediocrity and can bring down what they built for one year in one minute if they perceived injustice.

How to fight Corruption’s Fight Back By Pius Adesanmi

By now, it should be visible to the blind and audible to the deaf (apologies to Patrick Obahiagbon) within the Buhari administration that corruption does not intend to limit her war against the anti-corruption war to the mere deployment of the enormous resources at its disposal.

All the guys in the dock have been stealing massively from Nigeria for a very long time so they have limitless financial resources and they are pumping such massively into a well-honed strategy aimed at delegitimizing the anti-corruption war.

Some deploy financial resources in the effort to derail the struggle against corruption while others are more adept at strategizing beyond money. Saraki, for instance, has spared no naira in his massively-funded operations against the anti-corruption war. He has done everything from creating a fake Sahara Reporters to trying to buy every available voice in Nigeria and deploy them in the service of his own counter-narratives.

Jonathan enlists Anyaoku to beg PMB not to probe his administration

I just heard with one ear that former President Goodluck Jonathan has enlisted the good offices of Elder Statesman, Emeka Anyaoku, to beg President Buhari not to probe his administration.

If - and this is a very big if - my employers at Sahara Reporters are right, that it is to say if this news is true, then President Jonathan has made an excellent and a commendable move at two levels.

Level 1 Commendable move: President Jonathan is a study in personal development after office. I like what I have been seeing in terms of his resumption of ordinary citizenship and humanhood. He has learnt to stop listening to the marionettes who deified and destroyed him. I keep saying this: no history of the Jonathan presidency would be complete without chapters written on the rise and evolution of the most irresponsible followership ever known to the African continent - especially his social media caterwauling hordes who are even still at it, claiming superhuman infallibility for their hero as I write.

Multiple Blast: Suicide Bombers kill 100 in Northeastern Nigeria

The Boko Haram Suicide bombers killed at least 100 people in multiple blasts in the northeastern towns of Gombe and Damaturu, officials said Friday.

Nigerian Army have confirmed that 50 people lost their lives in two bomb explosions that rocked Damaturu, the Yobe State capital, on Friday.

Hours earlier two bombs killed 50 people buying goods for the holiday at the market in Gombe, according to National Emergency Management Agency spokesman Sani Datti. Another 75 wounded are being treated in two hospitals there, he said.

The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col. Sani Usman, said in a statement on Friday that 43 persons died in the first explosion which occurred at 7.40am and seven others in the second explosion. Several other people were also said to have sustained varying degrees of injuries from the two explosions.

Nigeria Does Not Have And Does Not Need A Police Force - Aduba

The term Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is very misleading. NPF is a term used by some men and women in uniform who extort money from the citizenry for the benefit of the uniform wearer’s family. Nobody should doubt that Nigeria does not have and does not need a police force. Here are proofs dating only two years back:
1.   About two years ago a young woman was seen on tape being raped by some young men. The tape suggested that the incident took place on the campus of Abia State University in Ituru in Abia state of Nigeria. Two years later the identity of the victim and those of the perpetrators have not been established. Nobody knows what has become of the case. It has not been conclusively proved that the tape was fake. Nobody even mentions it anymore. It never happened.

Buhari to Jonathan: War against terrorism cannot be won by issuing statements and condolences while merrying and dancing at political rallies
