El-Rufai, Hypocrisy, and Executive Incitement

A couple of my interlocutors have written to say that Audu Maikori deserves to face justice for sending out a false tweet. I have no issue with that. There is a new law in Kaduna against incitement and if he is in violation of it and the state's prosecutors feel they can build a case, he should be prosecuted.

But here are the issues that the few--yes, few--El-Rufai worshippers and and those who share his ethno-religious and supremacist inclinations are avoiding and want to deflect by latching onto Maikori, the entertainment entrepreneur having become their convenient escapist scapegoat.

The Islamic clergymen in Nigeria vowed that it is going to be a fights to finish and a serious war if any Court or any association or any groups of People should make any attempt to ban the wearing of hijab in primary and secondary schools in Nigeria.

It is going to be Fights and WAR on anyone trying to stop our women from wearing hijab to schools in all the states in Nigeria....... WARNED by all the Immam, Alfa, Alhaji and Clergymen in Nigeria.

My takes on this.......
While my Christian Sisters are roaming the streets polluted the earth with breast exposures shamelessly with a dead conscience, Muslims want their women to cover their breast and their body in the Public.

Go and Address the Problem: We now know how the military conducts its operation

The spokesman said they were informed some Boko Haram leaders were having meeting at Rann so the Airforce were instructed to "go and address the problem" which simply meant go and bomb the area.

Well they killed innocents including members of  NGO who were there to immunize children and they said it was a mistake and soulless Buharists are dismissing this military high handedness as "it was a mistake, everyone makes mistakes".

These are people who criticize the police for accidental discahrge.

Even when it is established that it was by accident, they curse the generation of the police man, but they see no problem with a soldier bombing a civilian population and killing tens of innocents including children.

This rehash of the prominent positions held by Muslims in Nigeria is mischievous and quite unfortunate. It is the typical Nigerian game of chasing needless shadows rather than focusing on the arduous task of nation building.
Until recently, so-called Christians held commanding heights of the economic governance of our Republic. The Presidency, Headship of National Assembly, Secretary of Govt of the Federation, Head of Service, Ministry of Works, Ministry of Finance, the Central Bank, the NNPC, the Stock Exchange etc were headed by so-called Christians. Tragically, they reprobately superintended the profligate looting of our common patrimony. The lone voice of courageous warning belonged to a certified Muslim, Sanusi Lamido, who succeeded Soludo and was hounded for his courage to expose the cult of looters comprising so-called Christians.

It is my pleasure to be here with you today to declare open the public hearing on this very important bill, The North East Development Commission Bill, 2016.

Distinguished colleagues, our invited guests, it is very hard to under-estimate the importance of this bill. This is especially so, in the context of what we as a nation especially the North Eastern part of our country have gone through and endured in the last 7years. The North East has endured unprecedented pervasive brutality, satanic barbarism meted out against them; Christians and Muslims alike, young and old, men and women by the activities of Boko Haram.

For 7 years, innocent citizens of our dear country Nigeria suffered untold destruction of both private and public properties worth billions of naira. In an orgy of un-abating and indiscriminate attacks on the Nigerian state and its circularity, they employed everything destructive to threaten our national security and socio-economic stability; maiming, bombing, attacking every institution that would help us remain a virile and united nation.

LOOTING: THE RELIGION OF ACCIDENTAL SENATORS

Since the advent of this democray, the Nigeria National Assembly has been very corrupt and when it comes to looting in Nigeria, there is no difference between political parties or "honest" or dishonest legislators. Simply put, there is no honesty. Furthermore, there is no difference between ethnicity, religion or region. They all have one common purpose: to loot Nigeria at any slight opportunity.

99.9% of Nigerian legislators (whether in the Senate or House of Representatives or State Assemblies; whether they are Christians, Muslims, Traditionalists, Atheists or what have you or whether they are Hausa, Yoruba, Igbo, Efik, Fulani, Ijaw, Kanuri, Ibibio, Nupe, Tiv, etc) they are very dishonest. The only language they understand or religion they have in common is LOOTING. Some might pretend to be honest, showing outwardly to the people that they are honest and that they are for the people. It's all pretense and what has been happening in the National Assembly since 1999 till date are all the numerious evidences. I can tell you right now, none of them is honest. They are all self-seeking. Once it comes to money, positions, expectations, what will benefit them and their families now or in the future at the expense of the citizens, they will all agree on that very quickly, even the remaining .1% will switch side at the last minute. That is Nigeria.

I agree that no insurgency can survive this long without local support. Having said that there are many things about BH that don't make sense. They are killing Muslims as well as Christians. They have , largely, been concentrated in the North East. Why would the people of the NE support their own annihilation? Before now,  I could rationalize using it to chase GEJ out of Aso Rock. If that was the goal how come BH killings is not letting off? There is more to BH than meets the eye. This is because, it is rather counter-intuitive for some leaders to unleash killing squads destructive on their own people, just to be collecting security votes and under-developing an entire region of a nation for this length of time in the 21st Century AD. There are different ways to make money; and this type of blood money is rather unthinkable for a traditional and religious society like Nigeria; don't people have a conscience anymore?


But in regard to the military statement, how do you separate "supporters" of Boko Haram from Boko Haram? It is like separating a church from the Laity! The fact is that, in the absence of the laity, there will be no church because the Priest or Bishop alone does not make a church!

Ringing the 2015 election this time will be very difficult indeed. Voters will remain until the results of their votes casted are pasted in front of them. And with a more potent competitor, the PDP that was once the only "national party' has further polarized the polity not just on the north-south divide but more dangerously on the religious one. Already some of them have already started calling APC an 'Islamic Party' to put in the Christian psyche the loathe of the party. Yet not acknowledging the fact that PDP especially with the recent South African $9.3m scandal, majority of Muslims believe the party is a CAN party.

With this ugly political scenario in situ, re-endorsing President Jonathan is their greatest political blunder because I know the Muslim North will totally reject him. That means the only option left for PDP to continue is by rigging.

PDP is then the epicenter of the most dreaded religious earthquake or the crater of volcano eruption that can shatter and destroy the nation. Because 2015 is not 2011. In 2011, the benefit of doubt which Jonathan enjoyed in the North is completely eroded by his style of governance.

UNITED NATIONS (Reuters) - The United Nations Security Council sanctioned the leader of Nigeria's Boko Haram and a splinter group on Wednesday, the first individual and entity to be designated by the world body since the Islamist militant group was blacklisted, diplomats said.

Leader Abubakar Shekau and Boko Haram faction Ansaru will be banned from international travel and their assets frozen under the U.N. al Qaeda sanctions list.

Fashola noted that the election was a deserving feat for the former CBN helmsman who has endeared himself to the Nigerian public for his brilliance, courage, professionalism and tact, saying his tenure as CBN boss was very eventful and quite useful to moving the country forward.

Sultan of Sokoto condemns Boko Haram attacks on Muslims

The President General of the umbrella body for Muslims in the North, the Jama’atu Nasril Islam (JNI), Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar III, has condemned what he described as repeated and ungodly acts of terror being unleashed on Muslims by the dreaded Islamist Sects, Boko Haram. In a statement yesterday in Kaduna, Sultan directed Muslims to pray for the restoration of peace and security in the country.


The Sultan, in a statement signed by the Secretary General of JNI, Dr. Khalid Aliyu Abubakar, condemned what we described as the “repeated ungodly acts of terror being unleashed on the Muslims.” The statement also condemned the attack on three Emirs by gunmen suspected to be Boko Haram members which led to the killing of the Emir of Gwoza in Borno State, and asked the federal government to wake up to its responsibilities of protecting the lives of Nigerians.

Was not the chief of army staff ordered by the same legislators to relocate to Maiduguri weeks before the abduction of the innocent school girls in Chibok? Virtually, the legislators here had to assume the position of the C-in-C from what they observed of the callousness of the government recognized even internationally. We are then in trouble. A knife in the hands of a madman on a market day!

The Abuja #BringBackOurGirls rally in Abuja on Saturday afternoon was exceptional. The former FCT Minister, Aliyu Modobbo, in his solidarity message articulated clearly a point that is in many people’s mind. There is a concerted attempt to re-introduce slavery into Nigeria and we must all come out and struggle against slavery.

The most poignant message was from the Senator representing Borno South  in the senate, Mohammed Ali Ndume. He explained that he had been falsely accused of being a financier of Boko Haram. He came with two of his immediate junior sisters, both of whom are Christians. He added that their mother died as the regional women’s leader of the COCIN Church. His family is equally divided between Christians and Muslims so how could he sponsor a group that is trying to kill his own mother and sisters. He also came with his wife whose senior brother had been killed by the terrorists. 

Terrorism, he explained has no religion or tribe, they are criminals out to kill.

Nigeria Does Not Have And Does Not Need A Police Force - Aduba

The term Nigeria Police Force (NPF) is very misleading. NPF is a term used by some men and women in uniform who extort money from the citizenry for the benefit of the uniform wearer’s family. Nobody should doubt that Nigeria does not have and does not need a police force. Here are proofs dating only two years back:

1.   About two years ago a young woman was seen on tape being raped by some young men. The tape suggested that the incident took place on the campus of Abia State University in Ituru in Abia state of Nigeria. Two years later the identity of the victim and those of the perpetrators have not been established. Nobody knows what has become of the case. It has not been conclusively proved that the tape was fake. Nobody even mentions it anymore. It never happened.
