Weapons Haram: A pastor, a jet, Israel and $10m By Bala Muhammad

Imagine this scenario: “A private jet belonging to the Sultan of Sokoto [though he hasn’t as yet got one] has been impounded in South Africa laden with undeclared cash to the tune of almost $10m. Also arrested were two Nigerians and a Saudi Arabian citizen. The arrested trio said they were in South Africa to purchase arms…The Sultan of Sokoto is the leader of Nigeria’s Muslim community and President of the country’s influential Nigerian Supreme Council on Islamic Affairs (NSCIA)…”

Just imagine the frenzy, the abuse, the castigation, the condemnation a section of this country’s media and public commentariat would scramble to if this were what happened. The story would have been a real BANG!

However, the story happens to be the direct opposite:

“A private jet belonging to Pastor Ayo Oritsejafor has been impounded in South Africa laden with undeclared cash to the tune of almost $10m. Also arrested were two Nigerians and an Israeli citizen. The arrested trio said they were in South Africa to purchase arms…The Pastor is the leader of Nigeria’s Christian community and President of the country’s influential Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN)…”

I Can Secure The Release of Chibok Schoolgirls - Obasanjo

Former President Olusegun Obasanjo said on Thursday that he could reach out to the more than 200 schoolgirls abducted by Boko Haram insurgents, but regretted that the Federal Government had yet to give him the green light to act.

Obasanjo, in an interview on the Hausa service of the British Broadcasting Corporation monitored in Kaduna, however, did not say if he had made formal request to the government to intervene.

“I have ways of reaching them(Boko Haram) but I have not been given the go ahead,” he added.

ISLAM AND BOKO HARAM: SULTAN OF SOKOTO VOYAGE OF DISCOVERY BY GODWIN ETAKIBEUB

THE most respected Sultan of Sokoto; His Eminence, Alhaji Sa’ad Abubakar 111, is also the President of the Nigerian Supreme Council for Islamic Affairs. He fits into that office appropriately and deservingly too. The office of the Sultan of Sokoto, being the Head and ruler of the Caliphate, bestows on the occupant the privilege of “first among equals” within the world comity of Islamic brotherhood. When he speaks, the gods have spoken. And he is actually a “god” both to the Muslim community and Islamic matters, even beyond Nigeria. The Sultan is even larger than life if you add the reality of his military back-ground to the fact that before he ascended his ancestors’ throne, he was the Defence Attach? to Pakistan – a country loaded with terrorism. His recent declaration, that “terrorism has no place in Islam”, though coming belatedly, is worthy of clinical and comprehensive evaluation therefore. But first, we must give kudos to the vibrant prominent Northern Nigerian rights activist and author; Shehu Sani, for prompting the Sultan into speaking on the Boko Haram and Islam religion.

Osun state governor, Rauf Aregbesola has called on the Sultan of Sokoto, Muhammad Abubakar to lead Nigerian Muslims in protest against the activities of Boko Haram.

According to Sun News, Aregbesola made the call while delivering a speech at the reunion lecture organised by the University of Lagos Muslim Alumni(UMA).

“””””"We must rise up and denounce the evil perpetrated by the Boko Haram sect because they are tarnishing the peaceful religion of Islam. I call on the Sultan of Sokoto to immediately lead other sincere muslims in a protest to denounce and totally reject the activities of the sect. They do not represent Islam. They are evil and wicked. We reject everything that the sect represents and our religion forbids them. They are sycophants and we cannot continue to be quiet in the face of the insecurities.””””….

BOMB BLAST: CAN, President Jonathan Declared A Genocide On Northerners - USMAN JIMETA; You Deserved A Response -FANI-KAYODE

BOMB BLAST: CAN, President Jonathan Declared A Genocide On Northerners - USMAN JIMETA; You Deserved A Response -FANI-KAYODE
''All Northern Muslims must know that the killings in the North of Muslims is solely sponsored by President Goodluck Jonathan. Jonathan agreed with his people of South East and South South that our population must be eliminated through massacres.

Those carrying out the massacres in the different States of the North are well trained Igbos and former Niger Delta militants who were trained in Israel and clandestinely in some Countries. President Jonathan, once told a Northern Elite that a revolution must be started in the North to pave the way for killing all our Elites.

Jonathan, assassinated Gen. Mohamme Shuwa, assassinated Jarman Katagum, attempted to eliminate Ado Bayero, Kwankwaso, Sultan of Sokoto, to mention but a few.
