According to Sun News, Aregbesola made the call while delivering a speech at the reunion lecture organised by the University of Lagos Muslim Alumni(UMA).

Of course, the Gov Aregbesola’s call to the Sultan to “”lead other sincere muslims in a protest to denounce and totally reject the activities of Boko Haram”” doesn’t mean that His Eminence Sultan Abubakar will carry a placard and march through the streets of Abuja or Lagos with other Muslims. All the Sultan has to do is to give the word that all Nigerian Mosques should CONDEMN the slaughtering, human waste and destructions being perpetrated by Boko Haram; and that all Muslims should join ranks to eliminate this evil from society; and that the activities of Boko Haram are Anti-Islam! In fact, if the Sultan has a Connection with the Chief Iman of Mecca’s he should engage him to make a Statement that Activities of Boko Haram Don’t Represent the Positions of Islam as Taught by the Koran! The Nigerian and International media and press and blogs etc can take it from there until the message permeates every nook and corner of society! And anybody trying to mislead innocent people in this information age will easily be EXPOSED! THE TRUTH is that political and religious leadership SILENCE or subtle sympathy has inadvertently or deliberately fuel these extremists’ activities in society over the years!
