The Boko Haram bomb threats deepened in Abuja, the Nation's federal capital territory, Tuesday, as authorities evacuated more offices amid confirmations that explosives may had been rigged in public places a day after a car bomb explosion killed many people and injured 124 more in Abuja.
On Tuesday afternoon The federal secretariat was evacuated shortly after the National Assembly, which is located around the same district, was cleared.
Many of the government ministries and parastatals are located inside the secretariat. Staff said they had been ordered to go home although there was no official confirmation yet of any bomb or explosive found, adding that the ministry of education was among the first offices within the secretariat to be evacuated.
The office lies near the ministries of health, science and technology, women affairs, communication technology and Niger Delta.
