The Boko Haram Islamist Insurgent, today kidnapped over 100 students of Government Girls secondary school in Chibok in Borno state abducted, a day after a deadly Nyanya bombing in Abuja.

Many girls were reportedly abducted by the rampaging Islamist gunmen who stormed the school in a convoy of vehicles," Emmanuel Sam, an education official in the town of Chibok, where the attack took place, told AFP. According to him, the attackers came "in trucks and on motorcycles and headed to the school", where they overpowered soldiers deployed to guard it, a witness who requested anonymity said.
Boko Haram has been repeatedly attacking schools and killing students in the Northeastern states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa since 2009, and many students have lost their lives to the Islamist attacks on schools who claimed the western education is a sin and must be eradicated.
