GOODLUCK JONATHAN - THE SILENT DICTATOR

They think we have forgotten:

-Then President Jonathan sacked the President of the Appeal court because he refused to compromise on the case involving the ruling party and ruling that forensic examination be allowed on materials used for the 2011 Presidential election. Even when the NJC asked that he be reinstated, Jonathan refused yet, he is your HERO OF DEMOCRACY.

- All the security details attached to then Speaker of House of Representatives, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal were withdrawn by the Federal Government led by Jonathan yet, you still didn't see any reason not to worship him.

- For weeks in 2014, the Governor of Kano State kept shouting that security aides posted to watch over the state house were recalled as a result of orders from above, not once did you accuse Jonathan of tyranny.

- For appointing Sanusi Lamido as Emir of Kano which was within the rights and powers of the Kano State Government, Jonathan ordered security agents to lay siege at the Emir's palace. For days, the Emir operated from the Kano State Government House. You didn't call Jonathan by the dictatorship that he was acting out then.

POLITICAL IMPEACHMENT DRAMA by Solomon Dalung

It is not only unfortunate but also nauseating that Adamawa State lawmakers could stoop so low to be contracted by Godwin Akpabio of Akwa Ibom to embark on such dirty adventure. Imagine how we have degenerated into political stooges of people our leaders laid their lives to liberate them just because of ghana must go. Where is our pride and grace as people with cherished heritage?

I cannot stand for corruption charges against Nyako but who are his accusers, people who swing in stinking corrupt practices will embark on anti corruption crusade? Where is the $20 billion NNPC missing funds or the #10 billion Minister of petroleum Jet charter funds or better still the over #500 billion unaccounted SURE-P funds?

Emir of Kano drops court case against Jonathan

The Emir of Kano and former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, CBN, Lamido Sanusi, has dropped the suit against the federal government challenging his suspension from office. The development indicated the Emir will discontinue his legal battle with the President after both men had reconciliatory telephone conversation.

President Goodluck Jonathan had on February 20 suspended Mr. Sanusi from his position as governor of the CBN over allegations of financial recklessness.

In the Notice of Discontinuance dated July 1, 2014, and filed same day, Mr. Sanusi’s lawyers informed the court of his intention to discontinue the matter.

Emir Sanusi Turbans Malam Sa’ad Shehu Gidado As New Wazirin Kano

The Emir of Kano, Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Friday turbaned Malam Sa’ad Shehu Gidado as the new Waziri of Kano. Gidado replaced Sheik Nasir Muhammad Nasir, whose appointment by the late emir, Alhaji Ado Bayero, on June 6, was rejected by the State Government.

Speaking at the ceremony in Kano, the emir charged the new Waziri to work diligently for the progress of Kano Emirate. He said the title was based on merit and urged him to discharge his duties with utmost fear of God.

Sanusi implored him to justify the confidence reposed in him by providing meaningful advice, which would assist in ensuring justice and fairness to all.

Finally‬ The Emir Is At His Palace; Sanusi to be officialcalled ALH MUHAMMADU SANUSI II

Today Friday 13th June 2014 mark the seventh day of mourning the death of HRH Alh. Dr. Ado Bayero may his soul rest in peace, amin and five days after the selection of HRH Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as the 14th Emir of Kano by the Council's kingmakers and endorsed by His Excellency the executive Governor of Kano state. His(SLS) enthronement was accompanied by protest in some part of the ancient city by aggrieved youths due to the premature congratulatory message to the elder Son of late Ado Bayero as the new emir by the ruling party, PDP.

Infrequently has traditional succession to the rule come and gone without controversy and nowadays even with violence; but that is no indication of the unpopularity of the one chosen, because violence can be, and is, planned by disgruntled elders and carried out by little children. When Sultan Abubakar III ascended the Sokoto Caliphate throne in 1938, those who lost out in the contest refused to accept the kingmakers’ verdict, and for more than a month, the Sultan had no access to his palace and had to stay the entire period in the army barracks. By the time he died, after more than half a century on the throne, he was a much-loved and today much-missed patriarch of the Northern flock.

Sanusi Moves to the Palace as Police End Siege of Emir’s palace

The police on Thursday ended their four-day siege to the palatial official residence of the traditional ruler of Kano Emirate. The police had on Monday deployed armed officers and men in the palace following a series of protests by some youths who kicked against the appointment of a former governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Lamido Sanusi, as the new Emir of Kano.

Following the end of the siege, preparations were being put in place to ensure that Sanusi, who had been ruling Kano from the state Government House since Monday, relocated to the palace. Confirming the development, the Director of Press and Public Relations to Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso, Baba Dantiye, told one of our correspondents on the telephone, that Sanusi would move into the place within the next few days.

Nigeria Police: Why we seal off Emir's Palace

The Nigeria police are laying siege on the palace of the Emir of Kano to prevent miscreants from looting the facility, the Kano state Commissioner of Police, Aderele Shinaba has said.

The Kano State Governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, had, in an exclusive interview on Wednesday, accused President Jonathan of deploying police officers to seal off the palace to prevent the new emir, Lamido Sanusi, from moving in.

Sharareporters reports that the Nigerian police have been ordered to arrest the newly-crowned Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, on fraud-related charges stemming from his tenure as Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN).

Adding that the Presidency sources in Abuja indicates that the team of policemen at the Emir’s palace in Kano received the order from the Nigeria police headquarters to place Mr. Sanusi under arrest if he leaves the Kano Governor’s lodge.

NIGER DELTA MILITANT, ASARI DOKUBO CALLS NEW EMIR OF KANO A DOG ( photo )

Ex- Niger Delta militant and leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF) Mujahid Asari Dokubo has described the new Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi as a dog.

Asari took to his Facebook page to post a photo of a turbaned dog with the caption, "This is how I see Sanusi Lamido Sanusi."

He also tweeted a congratulatory message to the All Progressive Congress, APC on their new Emir while also wondering if the late Emir died a natural death.

Asari is one of the supporters of President Goodluck Jonathan's government, which Sanusi is at loggerheads with.

It could be recalled that in February, the leader of the outlawed Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force said that his kinsmen in the oil-rich belt would foment trouble if President Jonathan failed to secure a second term ticket in the 2015 presidential election.

Asari is always in the news for one thing or the other, from declaring there will be war if Boko Haram sect dares him and his men, to declaring that the abduction of Chibok schoolgirls is a scam.

He even staged an anti ‪#‎BringBackOurGirls‬ protest to show he's not convinced about the abduction of schoolgirls in Chibok community, Borno by Boko Haram terrorists on April 14 2014.

You have been chosen by God and so you should fear God and treat all the people of Kano as those under your care and supervision. You should cultivate all and exclude none.

Your immediate duty is to rally the people to support the government in fighting terrorism and unrest. You should also bring your wealth of experience in assisting the economic revival of the state and the country.

The governor of Kano State yesterday sneaked the Emir-elect of Kano Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi away from his private residence after it got wind of a plan hatched by the federal government to arrest the former CBN governor.

(Photo) Newly Installed Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanus Join #BringBackOurGirls Struggle for Chibok Girls

The newly Installed Emir of Kano who officially assumed office on Sunday has been reportedly joined and support the #BringBackOurGirls protest for the Boko Haram kidnapped Chibok schoolgirls.

The new Emir, His Royal Highness Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is no doubt in direct contrast and clear opposition to anything Jonathanians as he was sacked by the president Jonathan from office as the CBN Governor before the destiny now worked his way to the thrown seat of Kano.

Leadership - His Royal Highness Sanusi Lamido Sanusi by Sam Nda Isaiah

I would like to preface the column today with a condolence message to the people of Kano over the death of Alhaji Ado Bayero, the 56th Emir of Kano. HRH Bayero had an eventful tenure; he will be remembered as a very respectable traditional ruler. He maintained his dignity throughout his reign and was never involved in any scandal that could have undermined the traditional institution. He made friends all over the nation and even across the world. May his soul rest in peace.

The king is dead, long live the king. And now the 57th Emir. Is it not poetic that Sanusi Lamido Sanusi would become the 57th emir of Kano? Indeed, “Dia ris God o!”, if you know what I mean. If Jonathan had known God’s plan, he would not have created this embarrassment for himself by giving himself the power to “remove” a CBN governor even when the law was clear about this. And, to make matters worse, the president did it to silence someone who dared to challenge the mindless stealing, the type that this nation had never seen, in his government. But all that is by the way. Jonathan will see more of this type of poetic justice in due course. That is usually the fate of all leaders who see their offices as an opportunity to commit serial injustices.

Now That Sanusi Is Now The Emir Of Kano: Would the President Jonathan congratulate him on this?

The suspended Governor of Nigeria Central Bank, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi is now the confirmed and installed Emir of Kano;  Would the President Jonathan congratulate him on this?

Sanusi’s nomination as the new Emir of Kano signals the beginning of a new dawn in the history of the emirates. Whether or not, the federal government will bow to the new Emir is a question on the lips of many across the country.

Would he (the president) visit Kano for second term mission or campaign ? Would Sanusi stop talking like a parrot?

What happens to President Jonathan and the 1.1million votes that would come from Kano as Sanusi is on the Emir's seat?  What happens to Security in kano?

Is Kano state not on the road to join Emergency states like Borno, Yobe and Adamawa?

FASHOLA CONGRATULATES NEW EMIR OF KANO, SANUSI LAMIDO SANUSI

Lagos State Governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola (SAN), has congratulated the newly elected Emir of Kano, Sanusi Lamido Sanusi, on his ascendance of the exalted position.

The Governor wished the former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor long and fruitful reign as he assumed office as the 57th Emir and hoped that his emergence would further cement the long standing bond between the people of Kano and their brothers and sisters in Lagos and across the country with whom, he said, they have been living in peace and harmonious relationship.

Fashola noted that the election was a deserving feat for the former CBN helmsman who has endeared himself to the Nigerian public for his brilliance, courage, professionalism and tact, saying his tenure as CBN boss was very eventful and quite useful to moving the country forward.

New Emir Appointment: PDP represents all that is evil and wrong about our nation - El-Rufai

Following the congratulatory message and the withdraw of the same by the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, to the yet to be appoint new Emir of Kano as attested by the Kano state government, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai has accused the PDP of circulating falsehood do to the party's hatred for the former Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Malla Lamido Sanusi Lamido, who probably may be the new Emir of Kano.

According to El-Rufai, 'The PDP out of fear and hatred of my brother Sanusi Lamido Sanusi began circulating the falsehood that someone else had been appointed Emir of Kano.'

PDP Withdraws Congratulatory Message To The "New Emir Of Kano"

Our attention has been drawn to a unauthorized statement issued on behalf of the National Publicity Secretary of the PDP by his Special Assistant, Mr. Richard Ihediwa, congratulating the eldest son of the late Emir of Kano, Alhaji Sanusi Lamido Ado Bayero as the new Emir of Kano.

Mr. Ihediwa relied on a false news flash on the AIT and issued a statement in that direction without approval from the National Publicity Secretary, Chief Olisa Metuh.

This is completely embarrassing to the National Publicity Secretary and the entire leadership of the PDP.

We hereby dissociate with the statement earlier issued and regret the embarrassment this may have caused the entire nation, the Kano Emirate and the good people of Kano state.

Signed
Chief Olisa Metuh

Battle for the next Emir of Kano: Sanusi, Hashim, others to race for the thrown

The battle for the next Emir of Kano has begun. The rat race kicked off following the death of Alhaji Ado Bayero on Friday.

Ado Bayero, the longest-serving Emir in the history of Kano state joined his ancestors on Friday after battling an undisclosed ailment.

Those jostling to take over the throne of leadership include the immediate past Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Mallam Sanusi Lamido, who holds the traditional title of Dan-majen Kano; his uncle, Sanusi Abbas, who holds the title of Wamban Kano and Sanusi Ado Bayero, the late Emir’s first son, who is the District Head of Gwale.

Others are the Galadiman Kano, Alhaji Tijjani Hashim as well as two other princes, Aminu Bayero and Nasiru Bayero.

Sources said kingmakers in the state are currently having closed-door meeting to pick three names out of the eligible contenders for Governor Rabiu Kwankwaso to endorse as Bayero’s successor.
