According to Melbourne police, 53-year-old Joanne De Bono tried to kill her husband by mixing 75 different sleeping pills in her husband’s meatballs so he can sleep forever.
Police investigations revealed that the suspect and her husband, Stephen De Bono, have been married for 25 years and have a daughter together.
Joanne who was booked and charged to court for attempted murder, told the Melbourne Magistrate's Court that her husband was abusive.
The court heard how Joanne De Bono conspired with her 19-year-old daughter to put Stephen De Bono to sleep forever by mixing sleeping pills into his dinner.
