The Grade 1 Area Court, Karu, FCT, on Thursday sentenced one Ola Omo, of Asokoro, Abuja, to 10 months imprisonment for stealing wine and biscuits. However, Presiding Officer of the court, Mr Hassan Ishaq gave the accused an option of N18,000 fine for the offences of criminal trespass, house breaking and theft.Plice Prosecutor, Mr Phillip Akogwu, had told the court that the accused stole the items from the shop of one Eniola Doherty and that the accused was reported to the Asokoro police station on March 26 by Doherty, a resident of Maitama in Abuja.
