Heavy Protest in Enugu as ESWAMA officials beat a 16-year-old boy to death.

Heavy protest erupted in Enugu on Tuesday following the alleged brutal murder of a 17-year-old boy by officials of the Enugu State Waste Management Authority, ESWAMA. Spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, confirmed the death of the boy identified as Ede Chidiebere to DailyPost.

According to Amaraizu, “the deceased, living at No 10 Ugwuoke Street, Abakpa with his aunty identified as one Chidinma Ochudo Michael had gone to dispose some refuse at a dump site near T/junction Abakpa Nike around 6.am when he was confronted by men suspected to be Enugu State Waste Management Authority, who had laid siege at the dump side which they designed unauthorized.

Police declares leader of pro-Biafran group wanted for treasonable felony

Following the recent attack on the Enugu Government House, the Nigerian Police has declared the leader of the Biafra Zionist Federation, Barr. Benjamin Onwuka wanted. Onwuka had at a press briefing few days after the incident, claimed responsibility and warned of more deadly attacks on March 31.

Consequently, in a press statement made available newsmen on Monday by the spokesman of the Enugu State Police Command, Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, DSP, he stated that Onwuka would face treasonable felony. Amaraizu disclosed that “some arrests have been made to that effect and suspects are already helping the police in their investigations to unravel all those behind the dastardly act and bring them to book, while manhunt on the fleeing persons are in top gear.

“The State Police command has declared one Onwuka Benjamin Igwe wanted for treasonable felony.
