Concerned about the alarming widespread of cyber-related terrorism and criminal activities across the globe, the National Security Adviser (NSA), Mohammed Sambo Dasuki has advocated for proactive approach to tackle the increasing cases cybercrime in Nigeria due to the fastest growing technology tools being used by criminals.
Dasuki made this called while speaking at the two-day National Cybersecurity Forum (NCSF-2014) with the theme: "Towards Multi-stakeholder’s Partnership for National Cybersecurity Engagement".
He said: “Realising the importance of cyber space, the Federal Government of Nigeria has designated cyber security as a national security priority with the Office of the National Security Adviser (ONSA) stepping up efforts towards meeting the challenge by working in close collaboration with all stake holders to ensure a safer and more secure cyberspace.”
