NLC Oyo State CHAIRPERSON & 6 other Comrades Arrested

* JAF Demands Immediate & Unconditional RELEASE


The Oyo state Chairperson of the Joint Action Front (JAF) and six other members of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) were today arrested by the Oyo state DSS operative and detained in Iyaganku Police Headquarters in Ibadan, the Oyo state Capital.

Confirming the arrest, Comrade Dr. Ademola Aremu called a while ago to inform of the panicky arrest of Comrade Waheed Olojede - NLC Oyo Chairperson by the Oyo State DSS operatives.

The arrest of Comrades Olojede, C.K. Ogundeji (NLC Sec), Sodo (Dep Chair NLC), Kehinde (Civil Service Union Chairperson), Oseni, Mrs. Adegbogu, and Falade who are currently being unjustly detained at the notorious Iyaganku Police Headquarters in Ibadan, is not unconnected with the NLC/NUT/JAF Mass Protest held yesterday in Ibadan against the anti-poor Governor Ajumobi APC Govt Privatisation agenda of Public Schools in the state.
