Indian Ocean : 'Potential Objects spotted' in new search area for Flight MH370

A plane has spotted "objects" in the new area of the Indian Ocean being searched for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, Australian officials say.

Australian Maritime Safety Authority says that an RNZAF Orion plane has located debris in the new search area for Flight MH370 that is closer to the Australian mainland but cautions that the sightings need to be confirmed by ship, expected to take place Saturday. The sightings would need confirmation by ship, which is not expected until tomorrow, the Australian Maritime Safety Authority (Amsa)said.
