President Buhari Tells Newly Promoted Officers - Justify Your Promotions

President Muhammadu Buhari Thursday in Abuja charged public officers entrusted with certain responsibilities to live up to their duties and justify the confidence reposed in them as this was the only way Nigeria can get out of the current hardships facing the nation.

Report from the office of the SSA on Media and Publicity to President Buhari shows the statement said by the President while decorating two of the newly promoted officers of the Nigerian Police Force deployed to his office with their new ranks.

4 Arrested for illegal possession of firearms in Ilorin - police

The Nigerian Police, Kwara state command has on Tuesday confirmed the  arrested of four suspects for illegal possession of firearms. 

Kwara State Deputy Commissioner of Police,  Zanna Ibrahim, informed the newsmen of that “four suspects were arrested by the police in Oyun, Ilorin metropolis, in the house of PDP Chairman on Tuesday morning.

“One of the suspects, Olorunfemi Sola, was caught with a locally made gun and one live cartridge’’, he said.

Ibrahim said investigation into the matter was still going on, adding that it would reveal the identities of other suspects.
