Mass death sentences, a breach of international human rights law; UN tells Egyptian Authority:

The United Nation has condemned on a strong terms, the mass sentence to death of the supporters and members of the Egypt's Islamist Brotherhood members by the Egyptian court. United Nation says such sentences violate Global right laws.

Spokesman for the UN high commissioner for human rights, Rupert Coville said such a jugdment is an aberration to International laws on human and peoples rights.

529 Muslim Brotherhood supporters sentences to death in Egypt

CAIRO — A court in southern Egyptian has convicted 529 supporters of ousted Islamist President Mohammed Morsi, sentencing them to death on charges of murdering a policeman and attacking police.


Egyptian court in Minya issued its ruling on Monday after only two sessions in which the defendants’ lawyers complained they had no chance to present their case.
