The United Nation has condemned on a strong terms, the mass sentence to death of the supporters and members of the Egypt's Islamist Brotherhood members by the Egyptian court. United Nation says such sentences violate Global right laws.
Spokesman for the UN high commissioner for human rights, Rupert Coville said such a jugdment is an aberration to International laws on human and peoples rights.
“The astounding number of people sentenced to death in this case is unprecedented in recent history. The mass imposition of the death penalty after a trial that was rife with procedural irregularities is in breach of international human rights law,” he said
Egypt’s mass sentencing to death of 529 members of Muslim brotherhood and alleged supporters of ousted Egyptian president Mohamed Morsi is a breach of international human rights law, the United Nations said Tuesday.
