The commission made the revelations in Osogbo, the Osun state capital, on Tuesday through the commission’s Administrative Secretary, Mr Oladipo Oladapo, who said this in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) .
Mr Oladapo said preparation for the election was in top gear, adding that the training of ad-hoc staff had been scheduled to hold between May and June. He said the commission had also signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the National Youth Service Corps on the engagement of corps members as ad-hoc staff.
Oladapo said the commission had forwarded the budget for the training to its headquarters and there was an assurance of timely release of funds for the exercise. He urged residents of the state to keep faith with the commission in the conduct of a transparent election, stressing that people should shun violence and falsehood. (NAN)
