The Lagosians have been reacting negatively to thee plan by the Lagost State Governor Akinwumi Ambode to purchase three Helicopters for traffic and security management in the state.

Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State had on Sunday said that his administration had concluded plans to purchase three helicopters next month to enable security agencies tackle criminal activities from the air as well assist in monitoring traffic gridlock to ease movement across the metropolis.

The United Action for Democracy (UAD), Lagos State Chapter condemns strongly the recent inhuman and unnecessary hike in the prices of transport by rail in Lagos in its environs.

Previously the cost of transport by rail from Iddo to Alagbado, Ijoko used to cost 500 naira for first class and 150 naira for economy class. But with the new hike in rail transport price, the first class is now 750 naira and economy class 230 naira.
