NIGERIAN TROOPS CLEARED MORE BOKO HARAM TERRORISTS CAMPS AND RESCUES 338 ABDUCTEES

The Nigerian Troops of 28 Task Force Brigade Nigerian Army deployed at Bitta and Pridang on Tuesday carried out a successful raid on suspected Boko Haram terrorists camps at Bulajilin and Manawashe villages along Bita and Damboa road at the fringes of Sambisa forest. The troops were able to killed 30 Boko Haram terrorists. The unit also rescued 338 persons that were held captive by the terrorists in the enclaves.


The rescued persons which comprised of male 8, female 138 and children 192, have since been evacuated to Mubi. Troops also recovered arms and ammunitions during the raid operation which include 1 General Purpose Machine Gun and 2 Dane Guns, 150 rounds of 7.62mm (NATO), 6 boxes of 7.62mm (NATO) and 3 cutlasses.

ARMY STATEMENT: ANOTHER BOKO HARAM FUEL DUMP DISCOVERED IN MAIDUGURI

Troops yesterday afternoon following a tip off by well meaning citizens, discovered and raided yet another Boko Haram fuel dump at Abbaganaram in Maiduguri city, Borno State.

During the operation, one person, Musa Abba, was arrested and the following items were discovered and confiscated; 11 drums of AGO, 1 empty drum, 192 of 25 litres jerrycans, (out of which 70 were loaded with AGO, PMS and DPK), a Toyota bus and 1 Peugeot car. Others include a motorcycle and an air conditioner.


The fuel depot was used to stockpile Petroleum, Oil and Lubricants by Boko Haram terrorists and their equally heartless collaborators for onward movement to the terrorists camps in Sambisa forest.
