                        AN ASSET, NOT A LIABILITY

Memory Verse: 1 Corinthians. 3: 16; Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you? 

 READ : ACTS 27 : 31 – 36 ; Paul said to the centurion and to the soldiers, Except these abide in the ship, ye cannot be saved. 
32 Then the soldiers cut off the ropes of the boat, and let her fall off. 33 And while the day was coming on, Paul besought them all to take meat, saying, This day is the fourteenth day that ye have tarried and continued fasting, having taken nothing. 
 34 Wherefore I pray you to take some meat: for this is for your health: for there shall not an hair fall from the head of any of you. 
 35 And when he had thus spoken, he took bread, and gave thanks to God in presence of them all: and when he had broken it, he began to eat. 
 36 Then were they all of good cheer, and they also took some meat. 

 Message 

Every child of God is meant to be carrying divine treasure on the inside. This is true because you cannot be born-again except the Holy Spirit comes into you.

The Holy Spirit is a divine treasure given to us as a deposit guaranteeing us of things to come ( Ephesians 1 : 13 – 14 ). Besides this, the Bible reveals that though we are earthen, we are carrying inside of us great treasure. This treasure gives heavenly abilities – abilities above the natural. We have these abilities because of the presence of God in us. We are therefore the temple of God (1 Corinthians 3 : 16 ). 

With this status, every child of God has got something to offer as an answer to every sense of loss among men. Rather than being the answer to problems, many children of God have become problems themselves within different circles and their communities. In the church itself, some children of God have no other business besides peddling both founded and unfounded rumours. For some, their business is to criticize; for some others, it is to analyse why the vision of the leader is not realistic.

There is nothing to worry about my health – Dora Akunyili

A former Minister of Information and Communications, Prof. Dora Akunyili, has dismissed media speculations that she’s currently battling with a strange ailment outside the country. The former NAFDAC DG was apparently reacting to her controversial picture which generated buzz on the blogsphere on Tuesday.

Akunyili, who was one of the delegates representing Anambra State at the ongoing National Conference in Abuja while reacting via a Facebook post on Tuesday said there is nothing to worry about her present health status, adding that she has since recovered from the illness and has been declared fit by the Doctors, who said she can take part in the ongoing national confab.


The former Minister however, did not give further details about her illness, but she admitted that it made her “shed much weight,” but she needed to add up.

Akunyili in a post entitled, “I am well, fit and ready for the National Conference,” called on Nigerians not to forget her in their daily prayers.
