REVEALED: DSS invasion of Dasuki’s house has nothing to do with Buhari

Contrary to in­sinuations that President Mu­hammadu Bu­hari ordered the arrest of former National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Da­suki because he was the Army officer who led sol­diers to arrest him (Bu­hari) on the day he was overthrown as military Head of State in August 1985, facts emerging from the security circle indi­cate that the retired Army Colonel is wanted in con­nection with multi-billion dollar funds domiciled in his office as NSA.


Operation against Dasuki was two-pronged as a team of DSS operatives were also deployed in his family house in Sokoto. Between Thursday eve­ning and 6pm yesterday (Friday), Department of State Security Service (DSS) operatives had been searching for Dasuki in his Abuja and Sokoto homes. Though, he was believed to be in his Abuja home. He eventually allowed the DSS detectives to enter his house to execute a search warrant. At the end of the search, it was learnt that items recovered from the house included $40,000, three automatic rifles and his travel documents. The operatives thereafter va­cated the house.

Anyim Pius Anyim On His Way Home As Soon As President Jonathan Returns From Brussel

There are strong indications in the presidency last night that the Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan may sack the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim as soon as he returns from his Africa-EU summits in Brussels, Belgium. 

Sources confirmed  that  the SGF issue has been on the table of Mr. President for quite very long . 

Sources added that his possible replacement are between the trio of Presidential Adviser on Inter-Party Relations and former Senator, Chief Ben Obi, former Senate President, Dr. Ken Nnamani and former Anambra State Governor, Peter Obi.

The former senate president was fully aware of the move and intention of president Jonathan to sack him. Sources added that he has since being making some move to re secure his Job and his position with the president.

His sacking seems inevitable base on the reasons alluded for his removal. He was grossly alleged of not effectively coordinating activities in the presidency as Head of its secretariat. Our source further confirmed that with 2015 elections drawing close, president Jonathan needs an SGF who will rally the support of Ibos peoples and other Nigerians for his re-election, stressing that, that informed the new choices to either go for Ben Obi (whose nomination is being backed by the Minister of Defence, Gen. Aliyu Gusau, Ken Nnamani or Peter Obi.

Wednesday's appointment of Aliyu Gusau may lead to a change in strategy in the raging battle against the Muslim rebel group.

The increasingly and deadly attacks by Boko Haram made the position to be vacant since June 2012, when Jonathan sacked Mohammed Bello, former defence minister.
