Aregbesola's Fifth Year Anniversary: Gains and Prospects for Future By Badru Asimiyu

Firstly, I congratulate the governor, His Excellency Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola on the occasion of his 5th year anniversary in office.
I wish him best of luck and successful regime throughout the remaining three years.

I want to state that my review of the 'O' programmes is holistically informed and in the interest of the governor, the people and government of the state of OSUN.

This piece is the sixth and the final part of my Special Review of Aregbe's five years in office which I dedicated to the month of his fifth year anniversary in office , November.

Nigerian Senate Okays Godwin Emefiele As New CBN Governor

The Nigerian National Assembly (Senate) on Wednesday confirmed former Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc, Mr. Godwin Emefiele as the new Governor of the Nigeria Central bank (CBN).

Mr. Godwin Emefiele will now take over the reins of CBN from Dr. Sarah Alade, the most senior deputy governor at the bank who has been Governor in acting capacity since Sanusi’s suspension.

Nigerian President, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan nominated Emefiele to the Senate on February 20th 2014, the same day he ousted then Governor, Mallam Sanusi Lamido Sanusi on allegations of financial reckless and misconduct.
