Information reaching us from the Kwara state Police command has it that the ongoing training of the newly recruited members of the PeaceCorps nf Nigerian in Offa has been stopped. The Authority in the camp have also order the trainees to go home assuring them not to entertain any fear that they are enlisted memebers of the organisation already.
THE Nigerian Police had instructed the Camp authority to halt further activities relating to the ongoing camp and disperse the cadets eith immidiate alacrity. This is not unconnected with that facts in the Camp, that the cadets are seriously paying for the absolute administrative flops and lack of coordination from the part of the authority

The Minister of Power, Works and Housing, Mr. Babatunde Fashola SAN, Tuesday participated in a Special Town Meeting with Youths in Abuja bearing an unmistakable message of hope even as he called for patience and hard work among Nigerians as the panacea for the much desired national economic recovery.

Fashola, who spoke at the Town Hall Meeting with Nigerian Youths in Abuja organised by the Federal Ministry of Information and Culture, prefaced his contribution with an acknowledgement of his age and some of his colleagues as being beyond the youth bracket but quickly added that he has useful experience to share with the gathering.

His words: “ The point really is that as unyouthful as I am there is a lot of story and history there. For the very, very young people, the first thing I’ll like to say to you is don’t despair. There is hope and there is light at the end of the tunnel. I have seen Nigeria like this before, even worse…I want to say to you don’t lose faith.”

Speaker Dogara tasks Chinese firms on diligent execution of contracts

Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara has tasked Chinese firms to ensure diligent execution of projects according to contracts agreements and specifications.

Dogara made the call when the Vice President, Public Relations and Government Affairs of Huawei Technologies Nigeria Limited, Wakie Wu, called on him in his office in Abuja on Thursday.

An acceptance fee is a social malady. Corruption of the highest order. Arrant NONSENSE. A complete social abrohaha. A gibberish. If someone has chosen a school for a choice of Academics, then the person already has interest in the institution. If need be, he or she should be tested and be offered a place on the programme he has applied for after which he would have paid unreasonable gargantuan amount for application process in our Nigeria Higher Institutions.
