War Against Terror: 186 Junior Military Officers Get Counter-terrorism Training

The Armed Forces Command and Staff College in Jaji, Kaduna State, has conducted a special training course for junior military officers on counter-terrorism and peace support operations.

The training equipped them with appropriate skills to function as Grade Three Staff Officers and Junior commanders in their various military services and organisations.

During their graduation ceremony, the Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Buratai, said the training had become necessary due to the emerging security challenges.

TO ADVANCE DEVELOPMENT, AFRICAN LEADERS WILL GIVE PRIORITY TO AVAILABLE ENERGY SOURCES, OSINBAJO SAYS AT ADB ANNUAL MEETING IN ZAMBIA

African leaders would give priority to urgent matters of development including the use of fossil fuels and coal to generate power, while also attending to important issues around Climate Change.

This disclosure was expressed today by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, at the ongoing African Development Bank annual general meeting in Lusaka, Zambia, where he and other African leaders spoke at the High Level Roundtable on the theme: Energy and Climate Change.

Morocco 2015: Super Eagles, Black Stars in Pot 1


The Confederation of African Football (Caf) has put in motion the road to Morocco 2015 as the seeding for the potentials draws were made on Saturday.

CAF approved dates for the AFCON Morocco 2015 at its meeting at CAF Headquarters in Cairo, Egypt. According to CAF, the Orange Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2015 will be played from 17th January through 8th February 2015. The distribution of groups between the host cities of the tournament was also formalized.
