PMB sacks Chief Security Details with immediate effect

President Muhammad Buhari has sacked his Chief Security Details, Abdulrahman Mani, with immediate effect. He has been replaced with Abubakar Bashir Usman.

Mani was said to have prevented many people who genuinely needed to meet the president, from meeting him. He is also being linked with the leakage of President Buhari’s journey to the United Kingdom, days before his inauguration, to the former oil minister, Diezani Alison-Madueke.

Alison-Madueke suddenly emerged in the first class compartment of the British Airways flight, and booked a seat, right behind Buhari.

Former Nigerian Senator, Simeon Oduoye Dies At 69

A former Nigerian Senator, Simeon Oduoye, is dead. Oduoye, who was a former military administrator of Ebonyi state and later became senator of the federal republic between 2003 to 2011 died yesterday at his Osogbo house.
He was aged 69. Oduoye represented Osun Central Senatorial Zone in the Senate on the platform of Peoples Democratic Party from 2003 to 2007, died yesterday in Osogbo.
Mr Bola Ajao, PDP Publicity Secretary in Osun, confirmed Oduoye’s death to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) in an interview on Saturday in Osogbo.
He described Oduoye’s death as “a blow to the party” adding that the deceased was a gentleman to the core, who served the country diligently.
“Oduoye was also a very illustrious son of the land. We will miss him greatly,” Ajao added.
One of the deceased’s children, Mr Kayode Oduoye, who also onfirmed the death of his father , said he was “indisposed for some time.’’

2 APC Chieftains kidnapped in Ebonyi by Six armed thugs

Six armed thugs   have kidnapped two chieftains the All progressives Congress, APC at Umuezekoha in the council area of Ebonyi state, under the alleged directive of  a senior  council official
The two victims,  Mr Donatus Omenyi and Chief Moses Anyigor, both from Omege 1 Umuezekoha ward, were supervising officers of the ongoing APC membership registration in the area.
The incident came barely 24 hours after the elder brother to the wife of the former governor of Ebonyi state, Mr Kennedy Ogba was kidnapped at his residence in Ezzamgbo in Ohaukwu Local government area of the state.
The victims were suspected to have been  kidnapped by political opponents.
