Former Military President, Babangida reportedly seriously ill

Former military president, Gen. Ibrahim Babangida (rtd) is seriously suffering from an illness which has greatly emaciated him, It was gathered yesterday from a source close to his hilltop mansion in Minna, the Niger State capital.

The source noted that the former leader now looks pale and is unable to walk unaided without a walking stick or the assistance of his security personnel, and that the illness has made him unable to attend most public functions.

While the real cause of his sickness could not be ascertained, the source claimed that aside it being age-related; the former military president might be suffering from a relapse of the radiculopathy disease which has troubled the former Nigerian leader since he was head of state.

Governor Aliyu of Niger state says "Nobody Can stop what God has ordained, if you don't want Jonathan to be President you better go on exile, Jonathan is an ordained President Aaliyu emphasize.

Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu, who is the Chairman of Northern States Governors’ Forum (NSGF), has urged Nigerians to stop tying the increase in the activities of the Boko Haram sect to people not wanting President Goodluck Jonathan in power.

Aliyu, who is also the governor of Niger State, added that the activities of the sect started long before the President came into power. According to him, Nigerians need to bury this conspiracy theory making rounds, and focus on crushing the activities of the sect totally.

Jonathan's Offer Of Automatic Employment For Injured Immigration Job Seekers; Applicants Besiege National Hospital, Saying, ‘We Were Injured Too!

Job seekers who are desperate to secure a job in Nigeria are moving to take advantage of the offer of automatic employment to job seekers who got injured in the recruitment exercise of the Nigeria Immigration Service last Saturday.

President Goodluck Jonathan offered automatic employment tickets to injured applicants during the recent recruitment exercise of the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS).
Less than 24 hours after the announcement, about 200 applicants have approached the National Hospital, Abuja, seeking to be registered as beneficiaries in the presidential largesse. A source close to the hospital said that the applicants had been coming in trickles, claiming that they had treated themselves at certain private hospitals after the stampede.
