Jay Jay Okocha frowns at Enyeama’s positioning

Former Super Eagles midfielder Austine Okocha says Vincent Enyeama’s poor positioning led to Messi’s brilliant curling free-kick that caught him napping for Argentina’s second goal.

Okocha, who was a guest in SuperSports World Cup studio for the match between Nigeria and Argentina believed Enyeama could have done better if he had positioned himself properly.

The former Bolton and PSG midfield maestro, however, hailed Enyeama for his wonderful saves to deny Lionel Messi and Angel Di Maria from scoring more goals against the Super Eagles.

Despite losing this encounter 3-2 against Argentina, Nigeria is guaranteed of a place in the last 16 of the FIFA World Cup thanks to Bosnia 3-1 win over Iran.

The Nigerian number one shot-stopper, and Super Eagles' interim captain has been listed for the Marc-Viven Foe award by the Ligue 1 players following his impressive performance in goal for Lille.

Lille goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama has been nominated by the Professional Union of French Players (UNFP) for the best goalkeeper award in the French Ligue 1. The former Enyimba goalkeeper made the list of nominees for the most outstanding players in France this season which comes to an end in May after keeping clean sheets in 21 out of 35 matches for third placed Lille.

If Enyeama eventually clinched the award, its going to be a boost for the Super eagles in the coming FIFA world cup, holding in Brazil this year. 

Blues in Good Condition and Battle Ready - Mourinho

As the Blues' stunning midweek Champions League win over PSG now subsided, thoughts turn to the Barclays Premier League, and Sunday's visit to Swansea City, Chelsea manager,Jose Mourinho has said his squad have recovered well from Tuesday's big win ahead of what he expects to be a difficult battle at Swansea.

Mourinho stressed the difficulty of the Swansea fixture, saying his squads are yet to taste any victory at the Liberty Stadium in their last three attempts. 'They are a good team and they play good football.' Affirming that "Swansea have never been easy for us and Chelsea knows that better than other teams." Stressing that Swansea still need the three points but not in big danger like other teams but they still need a couple of points to stay in the Premier League and of course they will try to get points out of this game.

Jose Mourinho turns on cameraman who circled Torres before Stoke clash

Chelsea Boss, Jose Mourinho has openly admitted that  he was unhappy with a Sky Sports cameraman when he circled Fernando Torres before kick-off ahead of Chelsea's 3-0 victory over Stoke City.

While waiting on the pitch for the two captains to complete the pre-match coin toss, the cameraman moved in on Torres and concentrated his lens on the Spaniard's face until the signal came to leave the pitch.


Furious Mourinho was waiting for him on the touchline and made his feelings known. Afterwards, the Chelsea boss said: 'I think the cameraman can do good, professional work without (doing that), I cannot say the word (for what I think of it).

'I think it was unnecessary.'


Mourinho had insisted on Friday that Torres had a future at Stamford Bridge, despite having criticised the performance of his strikers in the wake of their 3-1 defeat at PSG on Wednesday.
