Blues in Good Condition and Battle Ready - Mourinho

As the Blues' stunning midweek Champions League win over PSG now subsided, thoughts turn to the Barclays Premier League, and Sunday's visit to Swansea City, Chelsea manager,Jose Mourinho has said his squad have recovered well from Tuesday's big win ahead of what he expects to be a difficult battle at Swansea.

In an exclusive Chelsea TV talk, Jose Mourinho discusses Chelsea's next Premier League opponents, how the Blues have recovered following the dramatic and draining midweek Champions League success and the significant role his whole squad have played and can continue to play as the season approaches its end.

Mourinho stressed the difficulty of the Swansea fixture, saying his squads are yet to taste any victory at the Liberty Stadium in their last three attempts. 'They are a good team and they play good football.' Affirming that "Swansea have never been easy for us and Chelsea knows that better than other teams." Stressing that Swansea still need the three points but not in big danger like other teams but they still need a couple of points to stay in the Premier League and of course they will try to get points out of this game.
He said there are no other injury problems currently afflicting his squad except Eden Hazard who will definitely miss the game at Swansea as a result of the calf injury he sustained against PSG.

'There is a lot of happiness but at the same time a lot of fatigue (after the win over PSG). It was not easy physically or mentally but obviously when you are happy it looks like things are easier. I believe they are recovering step-by-step and on Sunday they should be in conditions to play another difficult game.' Said the Chelsea Boss.

As the Portuguese pointed out, Tuesday's victory owed much to the efforts of his whole squad, particular when you consider the two goals were struck by substitutes. That stands him in good stead for the rest of the season.

'I think all of them, they were ready. People are working well and hard. They are a good group, they are good friends and they have a good relationship. All of the ones that are not playing so regularly are being good professionals to try to be ready.

He said, 'You could see Demba as an example of a player who doesn't play a lot and was ready to try to respond. Fernando came on for the last 10 minutes. He participated in the goal and he was playing almost as a right-back helping and defending. So there is never a doubt that when they are on the pitch they want to help the other players.'

On the Champions League Semi-Final, Chelsea will play Atletico Madrid with an away leg to be played on Tuesday 22 April, returned leg to take place on Wednesday 30 April.
