While waiting on the pitch for the two captains to complete the pre-match coin toss, the cameraman moved in on Torres and concentrated his lens on the Spaniard's face until the signal came to leave the pitch.
Furious Mourinho was waiting for him on the touchline and made his feelings known. Afterwards, the Chelsea boss said: 'I think the cameraman can do good, professional work without (doing that), I cannot say the word (for what I think of it).
'I think it was unnecessary.'
Mourinho had insisted on Friday that Torres had a future at Stamford Bridge, despite having criticised the performance of his strikers in the wake of their 3-1 defeat at PSG on Wednesday.
The £50million frontman was handed a start against Stoke but again failed to impress. And Mourinho said: 'As always he gave everything he can.
'He worked hard for the team. He won with the team. 'We stick together. It's a pity he didn't score a goal because strikers need goals.
'Even in a match where you win 3-0 you don't score the winning goal, but it is good to score a goal for your confidence as a striker, so it's a pity that he couldn't. 'But he participated and worked hard, it was good for him.'
Meanwhile, Mourinho again played down his side's title chances despite returning to the top of the Premier League thanks to goals from Mohamed Salah, Frank Lampard and Willian.
'The table is again fake. The table has a lot of matches in hand,' he went on. 'Some teams have more matches than others. We cannot say we need X points to be champions.'
