The world needs Trump and I am with him all the way - Fani-Kayode

A few weeks ago I wrote an essay which was published in all my columns titled "Mr. Trump and Islam". In that contribution I argued that Mr. Donald Trump, the American entrepeuner and billionaire presidential candidate, was unstoppable.

I said he would win the nomination and then go on to win the election against Hillary Clinton.

The first has happened and the second will happen as well. The world needs Trump and I am with him all the way.

During the coming election debates he should do the Nigerian people a favour and ask Hillary Clinton one question.

Snapshot: Three days of Russian air strikes on Syria And Criticisms, Paris States 3 Conditions to Cooperate with Russia in Syria

A snapshot of developments since Russia's first air strikes on Syria, an intervention the West says is directed more at regime opponents than Islamic State group jihadists.

On Friday, French President Francois Hollande and Russia's Vladimir Putin had an in-depth discussion on Syria on Friday in which they "tried to narrow down differences on political transition," an aide to Hollande said after the two met in Paris.

The aide did not say if they had succeeded in any way in the 1h15-minute conversation, which took place ahead of a meeting the two men had with the leaders of Germany and Ukraine aimed at resolving the Ukraine crisis.

Russian Vladimir Putin moves troops onto 'combat alert' as Ukraine fighting spills across border

Tensions between Moscow and Kiev continue to mount with Vladimir Putin's latest show of force as Russia dismisses Petro Poroshenko's "peace plan" as an ultimatum.

Russia's Vladimir Putin has ordered troops in central Russia onto “combat alert” in snap military drills a day after confirming the country is beefing up its presence on the Ukrainian border.

The move, which will not affect troops stationed on the Ukrainian border, follows a series of reports of fighting in eastern Ukraine spilling over the frontier into Russia. Announcing the move on Saturday morning Sergei Shoigu, the Russian defence minister, said the drills would run from June 21 to June 28.

“In accordance with [Mr Putin’s] order, from 11.00am Moscow time the troops of the central military district as well as formations and military units on its territory have been put on full combat alert,” Mr Shoigu said.
