Herdsmen brutally attack three Tiv and Jukun villages in Wukari LGA of Taraba State, killing six and injuring many

Fulani herdsmen have brutally attacked three Tiv and Jukun villages in Wukari LGA of Taraba State, killing six and injuring 14 people at the weekend.Sources also added that there were other attacks in Gassol, Takum and Donga communities. In the latest offensive, Fulani marauders attacked and reduced the entire Tundun-Wada, a Jukun settlement to ashes.

Scores were also feared killed in the broad-day attack, eye-witnesses said. A member of the Taraba State House of Assembly representing Wukari II constituency, Hon. Daniel Ishaya Gani said the victims are Tiv and Jukun farmers.

UPDATES: Nasarawa, Zamfara attacks Claim 36 lives


The Wednesday and Thursday separate attacks in  Nasarawa and Zamfara states claimed no fewer than 36 lives.
Report has it that 20 herdsmen were allegedly killed b soilders in Keana local government area os Nasarawa state during a funeral rite while 16 persons were equally killed  by an unknown armed bandits in Zamfara state
The Tiv people who have suffer many lost both in human and materials with hundreds displaced in the recent time have vowed that the peace agreement signed recently can not stand as the attack on the herdsmen in Nasarawa state is considered to be a threat to the peace deal between the Fulani herdsmen and Tiv farmers in Benue state by the police  authority.

Fulani herdsmen attack Gbise village in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, 7 killed.

Suspected Fulani herdsmen have attacked Gbise village in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area of Benue State, killing at least seven people. 

Gbise attack was after the killing of over 100 peoples in two seperate attacks on Vingir and Gawa, all in Katsina-Ala Local Government Area. Gbise was reduced to ashes in the latest attack. 
Its market and shops which spread across the Katsina-Ala-Takum Road were also torched.

The Nation’s senior correspondent in Taraba State, Fanen Ihyongo’s father, Joshua Ihyongo, fled the village days before the attack.

His cousin, Tavershima Shenge, who witnessed the carnage, said the assailants, numbering over 300, came in two batches with sophisticated weapons.

Breaking: Benue state still under attacks, many fare dead in Agatu land

Reports from Benue state indicate that the state is still under severe attacks of the suspected herdsmen bandits  as more than a dozen were killed in Gwer-East, Agatu, Gwer-West, Makurdi today.
