Chibok Schoolgirls: FBI deploys manned planes

The United States of America has revealed it is flying manned surveillance missions over Nigeria to try to find more than 200 schoolgirls kidnapped by the militant Islamist group Boko Haram. The US is also sharing commercial satellite imagery with the Nigerian government, officials said.

It comes after militants released a video of about 130 girls, saying they could be swapped for jailed fighters.

Gas Explosion: 4 Dead, 64 Injured, Several Missing in NYC Building Explosion

At least Four people were reportedly killed and at least 64 were injured Wednesday when a suspected gas explosion tore through a building in Manhattan's East Harlem neighborhood, collapsing at least part of the structure, authorities said.

New York City Mayor Bill de Blasio said. “There will be a search through the rubble of the building once the fire has been put out.” 

“This is a tragedy of the worse kind because there was no indication in time to save people,” 

"They were right there," one source told ABC News, referring to how close two of the deceased victims were to the explosion.
