Below are forty-one promises contained in the APC Manifesto, as published by the party prior to the Presidential election. 

The promises below are extracted from the two official documents released by APC as their Manifesto titled “Securing Nigeria’s Future” and “Roadmap to a New Nigeria”, all published by the APC. 

From “Securing Nigeria’s Future”: 

1. Initiate action to amend the Nigerian Constitution with a view to devolving powers, duties, and responsibilitie s to states in order to entrench true Federalism and the Federal spirit. (This simply means that the APC will support # TrueFederalism ):

“WE MUST SET FORTH AT DAWN”

My dear fellow members of the All Progressives Congress, I salute you. My name is John Odigie Oyegun and I am highly gratified and honoured to be standing before you tonight as the newly elected National Chairman of our Great Party. I am humbled by the great honour you have conferred on me and the sacred trust you have reposed in me.

And with extreme humility, I accept this responsibility that you have entrusted to me, to lead our Party onto the next phase of its evolution and onwards to the fulfillment of its destined mission as the liberator of the Nigerian people. This is a heavy responsibility, but I assure you it is a responsibility I will not take lightly. I pledge to do my utmost, God being on my side, to justify the faith and confidence you have reposed in me.

Before I go further, I will like to express my deepest sympathies to the Borno State delegation and families of those that lost their lives in the unfortunate accident that occurred on their way to this convention. May God in His infinite mercy rest their souls in perfect peace. I assure all gathered here today and the nation generally that the blood they have shed will not be in vain.

Way forward for Nigeria: Let us go back to our old regional Rule -

In my previous write up for a New Nigeria. I have asked this big question; Are we not better to back to regional rule? Our colonial master United Kingdom is working from the bases of different cultures within United Kingdom -Wales has their assembly, Scottish has their assembly. And they all send their reps to the House of parliament in London.

We have taken to presidential system that does not work in our country Nigeria due to the fact that we are so corrupts from bottom to the top and power is centralized in Abuja. The economy cannot contain the amount of money our leaders is spending monthly, wasted projects that does not help the masses. Many other factors that we know that cannot work if the power is put on corrupt leaders that are greedy and ready to use you and drop you like wasted tissue.
