ANALYSIS OF THE MATTERS OF O-STATE OF OSUN STATE (Part 2)

I'm particularly interested on whether Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola, O-State governor , performed well or not during his 5 years in Office as 27th November approaches.

I will be dissecting each of his "O mantra" between now and 27th November, 2015.

I have treated A. O School and B. O Education (O-Uniform , O merger and O Opon Imo + O demolition)

Today

C. O'Meal
This program was inherited from Oyinlola regime and sustained till now.

The pupils of public elementary schools ( Basic 1-4) across the state are given free meal once per day.

The meal is often rich and balance diet.

This program actually improved the welfare and health of the pupils while it increased enrollment in public primary schools.

The government claims it employed 3000 staff into the scheme in an empowerment manner just like Oyes.

This claim cannot be independently verified but there is at least an O meal staff in every elementary school across the state.

I will say his government excelled in O'meal program.

D. O WAEC

The government of Osun has been sponsoring Students of public schools to seat for WAEC on the government pay bill since the days of Oyinlola.

Aregbesola also inherited this and sustained it.

There was an obnoxious policy summersault to the processes involved in the qualification of students to be beneficiaries.

Before (during Oyinlola Days as Governor), students would seat for "Qualifying Examination" while in SS 2 in a manner of an external examination taking students to write their QE in another school and government paid for those that passed while those that failed are paid for by their parents or repeated the SS2.

The trend contributed to seriousness of the students and minimized wastage of government resources unnecessarily.

Aregbe suspended the processes and directed that government would pay for all students that get to SS3 irrespective of whether such students are ready or qualified to write WAEC on average.

This decision has not only contributed to fielding many unqualified candidates for WAEC but also amounted to unnecessary wastage of fund and unserious attitude of the students to learning and getting ready for the exam.

Although government introduced some mechanisms instead as a criteria for qualification such as 90% attendance in schools, same have not been implemented as supposed as government on yearly basis shifts ground and only warn erring students without making real its warnings.

I don't like people who don't make real their promise and threcats😎.

The government needs to review this situation and advised to revert to old method of writing Qualifying Examination before candidates are sponsored to write WAEC.

My candid opinion.

Other Os shall be critically looked into in the subsequent releases till 27th November ,2015 when the Governor shall hold his 5th year anniversary.

Thank you.
