Chibok: US Samantha Meets #BringBackOurGirls(BBOG) group

United States Ambassador to the United Nations, Samantha Power during her visit to the #BringBackOurGirls, group in Abuja and expresses the support of the US and UN towards all efforts to bring back the Chibok School Girls kidnapped byy the Boko Haram terrorists in the Nigeria's Noth East.

Using the opportunity, the Chibok community called on the world leaders to help in rescue of their 219 girls who were abducted by the Boko Haram sect when they had gone in search of education.

Speaking during the visit of  MrsPower, the #BringBackOurGirls(BBOG) group chairman of Chibok community in Abuja, Tsambido Hosea-Abana stated that collaboration between the Nigerian government and other countries like the US will help bring the abducted girls back.
He stated that Chibok was a small community which have been known due to the tragedy of that abduction adding that the parents of the community,some who have died trauma, the community, BBOG members and Nigeria are praying that the tragedy will turn into joy when the girls are reunited with their families.

Hosea-Abana revealed that his people have accepted education after the missionary came adding that the abduction of the girls have set the clock of education back as many are scared of going back to school even as the school where the girls were abducted have not yet been reconstructed.

He added that the Boko Haram sect who have abducted their daughters have preached against western education and urged the world leaders not to allow the insurgents to win by making their children scared of going in search of education.

The chairman of the community who stated that ‘thing were falling apart’ in his community and the North east of the country, urge US to take their cry to the world and help to fight for the return of the girls and end of insurgency in the country.

Mrs Power reaffirmed that the United States(US) have stated that it have not and will never give up on the abducted girls. 

She also stated that information sharing between US and other countries were getting stronger, expressed hope that the use of military force against terrorist figuring out the the tactics of the terrorist group, the grirls and other abducted Nigerians will rescued.
