The Nigerian Acting President Professor Yemi Osinbajo has asked for for an end to the bloodshed in Southern Kaduna.

While visiting Kaduna yesterday to inspect the Airport, Acting President held a meeting with religious and community leaders from Southern Kaduna.

Army Commander, Police Commisioner relocate to Southern Kaduna

The Kaduna State Government on Monday announced that the Garrison Commander of the 1 Division of the Nigerian Army and the state’s Commissioner of Police have relocated to the southern part of the state.

This is to enable Brigadier-General Ismaila Isa and CP Agyole Abeh coordinate a determined response to renewed attacks by armed bandits on communities in Kaura and Jema’a local government areas.

The situation has been brought under control by this afternoon, but security operations continue.

Grazing Reserve: El-rufai Agenda For Southern Kaduna

The Mallam Nasir El-rufia Herdsman led Kaduna state government has no other developmental agenda for the Southern Kaduna people other than to sponsor genocide killings and attacks against helpless southern Kaduna indegenes and residents who are non Fulanis.

The whole agenda is to convinently creat grazing resesves for the Fulani herdsmen in the state.

El-Rufai frowns at the destruction of the Military Foundation Laying Structure in Southern Kaduna

The Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai on Saturday 11th of February 2017, frowned at the destruction of the foundation laying structure of the proposed Nigerian Army Battalion in Southern Kaduna.

The Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Yusuf Buratai and Governor El-Rufai had last week laid the foundation for the establishment of the battalion at Ungwan Yashi area of Zangon Kataf Local Government as a response to the incessant killings occurring in Southern Kaduna since 1980.

El-Rufai in a response to the destruction by unknown persons described the situation as "unfortunate, and further confirms that the conflict entrepreneurs are determined to continue to create obstacles and setback to our stabilization and peace building efforts."

The Governor in a statement was quoted as saying:

Retired Military, Police and Security Officers from Southern Kaduna today visited Governor Nasir Ahmad El-Rufai over the security situation in the region.

The team which visited the Governor includes Generals Martin Luther Agwai, Adamu Dyeris, and Colonel Boman Kachim.

THE HAUSA FULANI INTELLIGENTSIA & SOUTHERN KADUNA

Southern Kaduna is not Kaduna South Senatorial Zone but 11 LGAs where God located diverse ethnic groups South of the Southernmost Hausa City call Zaria. Majority of Southern Kaduna people are Christians.

The Fulanis have tried to no avail to convert these ethnic groups to Islam but couldn't even with the establishment of an Emirate call Jama'a Emirate in Kafanchan to ensure tribe around that area are converted to Islam.

The 2006 censors gave Kaduna State a Population of 6m, the 3rd after Kano and Lagos. When you add and sum up the population of the 11 LGA that made up Southern Kaduna you will get a Population of about 3m people.

Southern Kaduna People are the most educated people in the entire Northwest. Kaduna State is the 4th educationally advantage state in the North after Kwara, Benue, Kogi and definately it's not the Hausa Fulanis that made that possible but Southern Kaduna people.

Tragic as the horrendous killings of indigenes by so-called herdsmen in the southern part of Kaduna State have been, the indifference and prevarication of state actors at both state and federal levels, who exhibited criminal negligence instead of being proactive in halting the carnage is morally wrong and despicable.Now, fear and distrust reign and a whole race of people is feeling let down by a state in which the people are supposed to have a stake. Nigeria can and should do better.

The poor approach to the crisis was earlier sign-posted by the alleged payment of some ransom to the herdsmen by the Kaduna State government under the leadership of Nasir El-Rufai. Indeed, the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU) had demanded to know the identity of the Fulani herdsmen to whom ransom was being paid and the amount involved. In response, the government has claimed that it was only implementing aspects of the recommendations made to the previous government of the late Patrick Ibrahim Yakowa by a committee on the same crisis. That committee recommended compensation for cattle killed during the post-2011 election crisis in the same area. Meaning the El-Rufai government’s claim to a solution is actually an exacerbation of the problem.

PRESIDENT BUHARI ORDERS STRONG ACTIONS TO DEAL WITH VIOLENCE IN SOUTHERN KADUNA

President Muhammadu Buhari has, over the past week, given instructions for decisive measures aimed at bringing an end to the recurring acts of violence and destruction in the Southern part of Kaduna State.

On the directive of President Buhari, the Inspector-General of Police was in the region on Saturday and Sunday to assess the situation at first hand. In addition to the conventional policemen deployed in the area, a squadron of mobile policemen has now been stationed there.

The Nigerian army is also in the process of setting up two battalions in Southern Kaduna while the military continues to carry out air surveillance across flash points of the area.

Boko Haram Updates: Two Policemen and Four Civilians Killed As Militants Attack Another Village In Southern Kaduna

Two Police men, four Civilians have been reportedly Killed in Kaduna state when an unknown gunmen struck yesterday, attacking a police facility in the area leading to the their death.

Reports says the heavily armed men struck in Fadan Karshi village in Southern Kaduna.

A villager who witnessed the attack also told reporters that the remaining villagers are living in fear now and don't know what will happen next. But military sources said Military Troop and the  police officers have been drafted to the area in order to prevent further attacks.
