THE HAUSA FULANI INTELLIGENTSIA & SOUTHERN KADUNA

Southern Kaduna is not Kaduna South Senatorial Zone but 11 LGAs where God located diverse ethnic groups South of the Southernmost Hausa City call Zaria. Majority of Southern Kaduna people are Christians.

The Fulanis have tried to no avail to convert these ethnic groups to Islam but couldn't even with the establishment of an Emirate call Jama'a Emirate in Kafanchan to ensure tribe around that area are converted to Islam.

The 2006 censors gave Kaduna State a Population of 6m, the 3rd after Kano and Lagos. When you add and sum up the population of the 11 LGA that made up Southern Kaduna you will get a Population of about 3m people.

Southern Kaduna People are the most educated people in the entire Northwest. Kaduna State is the 4th educationally advantage state in the North after Kwara, Benue, Kogi and definately it's not the Hausa Fulanis that made that possible but Southern Kaduna people.

ZARIA MASSACRE: NIGERIA MILITARY'S COVER-UP OF MASS SLAUGHTER AT ZARIA EXPOSED - Amnesty International

Mass slaughter of hundreds of men, women and children by soldiers in Zaria and the attempted cover-up of this crime demonstrates an utter contempt for human life and accountability, said Amnesty International as it publishes evidence gathered on the ground revealing how the Nigerian military burned people alive, razed buildings and dumped victims’ bodies in mass graves.

The true horror of what happened over those two days in Zaria is only now coming to light. Bodies were left littered in the streets and piled outside the mortuary. Some of the injured were burned alive

347 Corpses Plus 55 Shallow Graves

The verdict By Olusegun Adeniyi: Email: olusegun.adeniyi@thisdaylive.com

After reading several rave reviews, I decided to watch the movie, “Eye in the Sky” which essentially centres around the ethical dilemma of the use of drones in modern warfare. Released last September, it features a British military officer (played by Helen Mirren) who, in the process of commanding a joint (British and American) operation to capture some Al-Shabaab terrorists in Nairobi, Kenya, discovered that not only did they have explosives, the insurgents were also preparing two suicide bombers for a fresh attack.

While that changes the dynamics of the operation, the officer would need authorization to equally change the objective so she could kill the terrorists by drone, especially when a British citizen was among them. Meanwhile, an American Reaper Drone controlled from an Air Force Base in Nevada had been providing aerial surveillance on the Nairobi building with the proceedings in the house monitored.

Eventually, the British commander secured the authorization to attack the building but just as the pilots were ready to strike, they ran into another dilemma, this time a moral one: an innocent nine-year old girl had entered the kill zone. The pilots could see the girl selling bread outside the targeted building and were almost certain she would end up as collateral damage if they released the missile. All attempts to use the spy on ground to buy the entire loaves of bread on her counter so she could leave the vicinity failed at about the time the battery of the surveillance video ran flat; and with it, the image from the scene.

Herdsmen Crisis: What Fulani Want From Government (Article) - Ismail Iro

Grazing land and stock-routes top the list of Fulani's demands from government.
All the leading presidential aspirants in the previous elections who were seeking the votes of *Miyetti Allah* Cattle Breeders Association of Nigeria (M.A.C.B.A.N.) had sent letters to the association assuring the Fulani of enough grazing land and stock-paths if elected. Discussions among government officials, traditional rulers, and Fulani leaders on the welfare of the pastoralists have always centered on requests and pledges for protecting grazing spaces and cattle passages. It has become evident that the political party that ignores the Fulani demand for grazing land would during an election attract a voter revenge.

The Growing pressure from *Ardo'en* (the Fulani community leaders) for the salvation of what is left of the customary grazing land has made some state governments with large population of herders to include in their development plans the reactivation and preservation of grazing reserves. Quick to grasp the desperation of cattle-keepers for land, the administrators have instituted a Grazing Reserve Committee to find a lasting solution to the rapid depletion of grazing land resources in Nigeria.
