President Jonathan leaves for Germany amidst speculation on his health

President Goodluck Jonathan will Friday morning jet out of Abuja on a private visit to Germany. This was confirmed by his spokesman, Reuben Abati, in a terse statement late Thursday.

He disclosed that Mr. Jonathan will be accompanied on the trip by some of his principal aides.

The announcement of the trip came at a time cloud of doubt continues to hover around the Nigerian leader’s well-being. It should be recall that some citizens had speculated about Mr. Jonathan’s health just before his trip to the Washington DC, United States, where he attended the 2014 US-Africa Leaders Summit early August.

According to Abati: "President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan will leave Abuja early Friday on a private visit to Germany."

"The President will be accompanied on the trip by some of his principal aides."

"He is expected back in Abuja early next week."

Mrs. Bola Obasanjo, wife of former President Olusegun Obasanjo and Mrs. Olufunso Amosun, wife of Ogun State Governor, Ibikunle Amosun on Monday joined hundreds of women in Abeokuta the Ogun State capital, to protest the abduction of over 200 school girls in Chibok, Borno State.

The protest which the Iyalode of Yorubaland, Chief (Mrs.) Alaba Lawson, members of the International Federation of Women Lawyers, market women and female artisans also took part in, started at about 8am at the M.K.O Abiola Stadium, Kuto area and from there, the women moved through IBB Boulevard and ended at the Ogun State House of Assembly complex, where the governor's wife presented their protest letter to the Speaker, Suraj Adekunbi, to deliver to President Jonathan.

Nigerian Northern Governors have travelled to the United States of America to seek help and stop the Boko Haram insurgency.

The Islamists Boko Haram  Group that have constitutes itself to be a major vampire devouring both men of the Nigeria security agencies and the civilians mostly in the Northern region of the country. 
The dreaded Islamist group have killed many  people since 2009 including Christians and Muslim.
