Unknown armed Gunmen invaded Shadna village in Bosso Local Government of Niger State, killed two and injured three others at about 11pm on Tuesday during their monthly traditional dance event.
Three armed gunmen reportedly shot sporadically into the air and strayed bullets hit two of the villagers leading to their instant death and causing serious injuries to three other persons in Niger state. Injured persons were rushed to an undisclosed hospital while the dead have been buried according to Islamic rites.
The Police Public Relation Officer PPRO in the state Richard Adamu Oguche (ASP) who confirmed the report explained that the Command has beefed up security in the community in order to forestall any further gunmen attack on the community, urging members of the community to remain calm and assist the police with useful information on the activities of strange movements in their area for prompt security action.
