A Governor of opposition part, All Progressive Congress, APC, Gov. Aliyu Wamakko of Sokoto State has vehemently affirms that more Ruling Peoples Democratic Party's Governors have concluded plans to join the APC.
Sokoto Governor who did not give the names of the said PDP governors and their states, made the statement on Saturday in Wamakko after the conduct of APC ward congresses in Wamakko Local Government Area of Sokoto state.
Speaking on the peaceful conducts of the party's ward congresses, Wamako said the congress were held to ratify the general decision taken by the party’s candidates in the 23 local government areas of the state, saying that the successful conduct of the exercise was a good beginning for the APC in Sokoto state.
Wamako, full of confidence in the ability of the party in the state to win the 2015 general elections, said "APC will win all the elective political positions at all levels during the forthcoming general elections in Nigeria.” He said the members of the party in the local government level took a unanimous decision that the adoption of the consensus arrangement was in the best interest of the party.
In the same vein, the chairmen of Tangaza and Silame local government areas, Alhaji Mohammed Sahabi and Alhaji Mani Katami respectively, said that the consensus arrangement would help to solidify the APC. they both addressed the newsmen in Gidan-Madi and Silame respectively, expressed satisfaction with the peaceful conduct of the exercise.
The Chairman, Ward Congress Committee, Alhaji Muhammad Dan-Ango, said the exercise was concluded peacefully in the 244 electoral wards in the state.
