Rescuers Find 311 More Pieces of Tu-154 Plane Wreckage, Total Exceeds 1,500


The Divers have recovered the main Tu-154 Flight Data Recorder Found, to Be Decoded in Moscow - Russian Defense Ministry. 

"The Falcon small-class compact remote-operated vehicle found the main flight data recorder 1,600 meters [0.99 miles] from the shore at a depth of 17 meters [55.7 feet] at 5:42 a.m. [02:42 GMT]," the ministry said.
It said that the black box will be sent to the central research institute in Lyubertsy on the southeastern outskirts of Moscow, which will be tasked with decoding the data, in the coming hours.

The Second Flight Recorder was also Recovered from Russian Military Plane. Divers have also recovered 15 bodies and 239 body parts from the crash site, says Ministry of Defence (Russia) as the search to recover the remains of Tu154 plane that crashed in to the Black Sea on the Crismass Day.

The Russian Defense Ministry's Tu-154 aircraft en route to Syria from Moscow crashed soon after takeoff near Russia's Black Sea resort of Sochi early on Sunday. The plane was carrying 92 people including eight crew members, 64 musicians of the Alexandrov Ensemble, nine reporters, head of Spravedlivaya Pomoshch (Fair Aid) charity Elizaveta Glinka, and two federal civil servants.

According to a source in the security services, rescuers have found and lifted 311 more pieces of plane wreckage from the bottom of the Black Sea near the Tu-154 crash site in the past 24 hours.

"A total of 1,547 pieces of Tu-154 wreckage has been found and raised to the surface, including 311 founded in the past 24 hours," the source said.
