The Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni speaks out on the activities of the Boko Haram Islamist Jihadist, saying that there is no any reason why Nigeria Government should negotiate with the terrorist who are hell bent in attacking the innocent and defenseless citizens in the country's North-Eastern states of Borno, Yobe and Adamawa.

According to him, there is no point trying to negotiate with Boko Haram militants, as they are "ideologically bankrupt" and must be defeated, President Museveni has said on a live BBC programe yesterday.

His comments came as the leader of the Islamist group threatened to "sell" more than 230 girls seized from their school, in Borno, Nigeria, on 14 April. It has also been reported that eight more girls between the ages of 12 and 15 were kidnapped in north eastern Nigeria on Sunday night.

And whereas he first made the disclosure on the African Independent Television, AIT, morning magazine programme, FOCUS NIGERIA, hosted by Gbenga Aruleba, Sunday Vanguard was able to track Major Moghalu.

In a telephone conversation preparatory, Moghalu disclosed that he was “bothered about the embarrassment of the specific issue of the abduction saga, but more worried about the insurgency that has given Nigeria a bad name.” He added: “All  what people like us want to do is help”.

Sources said trans-national criminal activities including kidnap for ransom, drug trafficking, weapons trafficking and  armed robbery  were  sources of revenue for Boko Haram.
